Chapter 5- Late Night Outings

I get up from my bed and rub my eyes before turning off my alarm.

It was currently 2:30AM and I was supposed to be meeting Makoto, Kyoko and Hina at the school fountain so we can go to the café... At 3AM.

I get up from my bed and go to the bathroom so I can wash my face, just so I can try to wake myself up a little.

After that I put on my clothes, which was my usual pair of dark blue jeans and black converse, long sleeved black and grey plaid flannel, underneath a plain black t-shirt.

I grabbed the things I needed, along with my F/C headphones and then headed out the door to go to the fountain.

The halls were quiet and empty, and pretty dark too with the only source of light being from small lights that were put around the school when it was dark, along with the only noise being the sound of my footsteps as I walked.

Eventually I made it to the fountain.

"Seems like I'm the only one here..."

I take a seat near the fountain then put on my headphones and listen to a couple of songs by The Neighbourhood, starting with Float while I wait.

A couple minutes later and I'm still here.

"Well, you're here quite early" I hear a familiar voice saying.

I remove my headphones and I see Kyoko.

She's basically wearing her usual outfit, except instead of her black skirt, she's wearing black leggings, and she doesn't have her tie on.

"Hi" I say with a wave.

She waves back to me then goes to sit beside me on my right.

"I didn't expect anyone else to be here, but I suppose it's expected from you" Kyoko says while looking at me.

"Yeah, I guess that makes sense" I say with a shrug.

"It's pretty nice being outside this late in the night" I continue while looking out in the distance with a smile.

"It is" She said while also looking out.

We stay like that for a couple of seconds in complete silence, before Kyoko says.

"Going to a café at 3AM surely does sound interesting"

"Really does" I say laughing a little.

"Would you believe me if I told you Hina has done something similar to this before?"

"She has?" I say with my eyes wide, not really knowing whether or not to be surprised.

"Yes, although it wasn't as late as this, she one time invited Makoto and I to eat donuts at our usual spot at 12AM"

"Wow"

"I know" She says while laughing a little.

"By the way" Kyoko says as I look at her.

"Sorry if I interrupted you on listening to music or anything"

"Oh, don't worry about it, I just finished up one of the songs I was listening to as you came" I say gesturing to my headphones.

I mean honestly even if I wasn't finished I still wouldn't mind talking to you.

Wait no, what am I thinking.

"Oh, I'm glad then. Let me guess, were you listening to The Neighbourhood" She said with a smirk.

"Yep" I say while smiling.
