Yuki's pov

School had been going great. I've met a lot of intelligent people like me. I was walking home. Today's weather had been perfect. The sun was out, the sky was clear, and it felt warm outside. I loved this kind of weather, but I also love winter. I see the beauty in everything. While I was thinking happy thoughts, Hiro came to mind. Oh yeah, he invited for me dinner tonight. I better tell mom and sis. A couple of minutes later, I finally reached home. I twisted the knob of the door, which was unlocked. I opened the door and stepped inside the house. I saw my mom, she was in the kitchen baking something. I smelled the place to figure out what she was baking. She was baking brownies. Yay! They're my favorite!

"Hi mom." I approached her and placed my backpack on the dining table.

"Hi Yuki. I'm baking brownies."

"I could tell because of the smell." I smiled at my mom.

"Ah, I see. So how was school?" My mom opened the oven ,took out a silver tray, and placed it on the kitchen counter.

"School was good. I met a lot of people, they were really friend of course."

"That's good to hear. Call your sister please. She needs to cut the brownies for me.

"Okay." I got up and left the kitchen. I searched my older sister and found her. She was at her room. "Haru, mom needs you."

"What does mom need?" Haru asked me.

"She needs you to cut the brownies for her." I replied.

"Oh okay. I can't wait for those brownies to be in my stomach!"

I laughed. "I can't wait too." Me and Haru ran downstairs to the kitchen. Haru grabbed a kitchen knife and went to work cutting the brownies. I was lost in thought, and realized I needed to tell my mom and Haru about Hiro.

"Mom, Haru. My friend, Hiro, invited me over for dinner. Can I come?"

"Is he a classmate of yours?" My mom questioned me.

"Yes, he is a classmate of mine."

"Isn't Hiro the one guy with messy hair?" Haru sliced one a brownie and popped it into her mouth.

"Yeah, that's Hiro."

"Dinner with a classmate? You can go, Yuki, but remember you have to be here by 9:30 okay?" My mom points her index finger at me.

"Of course mom, I'll be here by 9:30."

"Okay, good." I noticed Haru was finished cutting the brownies. My mom took a slice of the brownies, placed it on a plate, and handed it to me.

"Thanks, mom."

"You're welcome, Yuki."

Hiro's pov

I ran home. Aunt Cass needs to get those spicy wings ready. Tonight's the night I will really confess my feelings to her. I couldn't stand it anymore. I quickly opened the door to Lucky Cat Cafe and stepped inside. Aunt Cass saw me when I entered the cafe.

"Hiro! You're finally here!" She walked to my direction and hugged me.

"Aunt Cass. I. Need. Air."

"Oh! Sorry, Hiro. I sometimes get carried away you know."

"It's fine. I need you to cook those spicy wings."

"Oh okay, why?"

"Well, I invited Yuki over for dinner. And I want her to try your special spicy wings."

"Okay, I'll get that done." Aunt Cass went to the cash register. She had a pencil and a notebook near the cash register. I knew she was writing a note to herself to cook the spicy wings. Great, everything is running smoothly.

"Hiro!" I heard someone calling me. I turned around to see Gogo.

"Oh hey, Gogo." I waved at her.

"Hiro, how are you?"

"I'm doing good, Gogo. What are you doing here anyway?"

"Hiro, ever since Tadashi died, I have sympathy for you." Gogo's tone had been much serious than ever before.

"Gogo, you don't have to do this. You don't have to protect me and act like an older sister to me. I'm fine." I protested.

"I insist, Hiro. It's for your own good."

"Are you sure, Gogo? I don't know about this."

"I always got your back, Hiro. I promise. I'm doing this for Tadashi."

"Okay." I replied. I didn't notice, but Gogo quickly pulled me into a hug. I hugged Gogo back. It felt good to have a best friend watching your back.

Gogo pulled out of the hug. "Well I gotta go, Hiro. See you tomorrow at school."

"Bye Gogo."
