Pix was tired of being the father of the server, every Empires member had some sort of mental trauma.
Jimmy was homeless, Joel was in denial, Joey was scared of 'succumbing' to Xornoth again, what with his revival on the Horizon, Shubble had a problem with wandering into every ice biome to find Scott, the poor mushroom person had developed a serious frost bite.
Pearl was in dire need of food, terrible droughts befell the land and an empire whose main export is wheat is bound to go down faster than the servers crippling mental state. No one had seen Katherine in the passed month, nor Gem, nor Sausage. A third of the Emperors were gone, disappeared off the face of the earth.
And of course, Lizzie was no longer with them...
Pix took a deep breath and went out to face Jimmy, who lounged in his central fountain. The Codfather was a shambled mess, his eyes bore bags centimeters thick and his usual slime stains no longer seemed like a design choice.
Jimmy was depressed, but Pix could tell he didn't come to therapy to fix that.
Jimmy would relax on entering Pixandria, his cheek-side tendrils would quiver with satisfaction as the rush of desert wind brushed his hair. Pix often caught him lounging in the water, swimming with the Cod, he tempted to go over and talk to him, but he left as soon as Pix said Hello.
Jimmy waved at Pix nonchalantly, as if they were two friends going for a sandwich. Pix shook his head, trying to rub the migraine out of his head.
"Hey Jimmy," He pursed his lips. "How're things?" Pix sauntered round to sit on the fountains rim.
"I haven't slept in three days." He snored. "Can I sleep in your fountain again?" Pix's face sunk, the last time he slept in his fountain, someone thought he was a statue.
"Fine..." He submitted, seeing the misery in Jimmy's eyes. Jimmy had lost the most, his sister, a neighbour he grew quite close to, and Scott.
Pix had heard stories of how the relationship between Scott and Jimmy blossomed during that Third life thing Pix wasn't invited to. Joel came back baring these wild stories, whilst Scott kept glancing at Jimmy with regret. Pix didn't fully understand the situation, be he figured it wasn't his business.
Second to Jimmy, his biggest client was Joel.
Pix remembered the funeral as if it were yesterday, the remaining Emperors had gathered at the Prisma Palace throne room to say their farewells to Lizzie, who was symbolized by her throne which they promptly burned in commemoration. Jimmy lamented for days, he lost much sleep and almost starved to death. The only person absent, other than those missing, was Joel himself.
Joel had sunk back into his palace, Pix visited one day, and by the looks of the mountains of book, he had been reading Harry Potter on repeat. He framed on his wall a rotted carrot named 'Carrot Cake', Pix offered to throw it out for him, and the Copper king was hastily Banished.
Joel refused to leave, and when he did it was to smash Pix's empire and then claim it to be 'the road to his recovery'. Pix couldn't stop him, he felt sorry for him. But despite helping Emperors through hard times, he felt angry and alone, he himself had no one to share his anxiety's with, and he wasn't Lacking anxiety's.
But Pix couldn't slack in his role, he was taken as the leader of the SMP, even though he never possessed the crown. He was in this cruel cycle where he was forced to suffer at the hands of his own prison, one enforced by the other Emperors.
It would end one day, and it would also mark the end of Empires...
the end of Empires....
Weird, Pix hadn't thought about what he was going to do with all was said and done, He could go on forever, but he wasn't sure if he wanted that. He could start up his own world, and slowly grow a new civilization, one void of demons, and ice curses, and needy man-children who sleep in fountains.
Pix envied a fictional scenario, he yearned to be lounging in lush caves, and trekking over the windswept peaks where he could do almost anything. Pix had to think though, he could leave Empires, but that would beg questions. The Others would wonder why he did so, and track him down...
It was tricky, he didn't even know if he was committed to this idea, he'd think on it, but he just needed to be alone.
So away he went, travelling the world on foot, taking in it all. He thought he was alone, but just as he sat down to eat his lunch, he heard Katherine yell.
"HELP!"
