The year end eventually. It was time for the other Sects to go home. The Wei Clan are saying goodbye to the three Main Lans.

"Zewu-jun, Grandmaster Lan, we appreciate your hard works for this past year."

"Thank you, Sect Leader Wei."

Wei Wuxian bowed to Lan Qiren. He then turned to Lan Wangji.

"Lan Zhan, this is a farewell for now."

"Mn. Be safe."

Wei Ying smiled at him. Lan Qiren looked satisfied. Yes, he knows about their relationship. Wei Ying went towards Lan Zhan and pecked on his cheeks. Lan Zhan slightly smiled.

The Wei Clan took their final bow and left Cloud Recesses.

"Wangji, i am sure you will see him again. Please stop sulking...."

Lan Qiren shook his head.

"LAN WANGJI ALREADY ASKED FOR A MARRIAGE?!"

Xiao Xingchen laughed. Song Lan didn't want Wei Ying to move to Gusu.

"A-Lan, calm down."

Song Lan scoffed. Xiao Xingchen grabbed rhe letter before his husband ripped it.

Wei Ying is currently on his office, doing Sect Leader duties. Xiao Xingchen had done almost all of them when Wei Ying was away.

At least, he can prepare for the future since he is a spare heir of Yiling Wei Sect.

When the Yiling Wei Sect was build, Xiao Xingchen suggested that his nephew should be the Sect Leader. At first, Wei Ying declined. Xiao Xingchen eventually got him to the position but he got a condition. He should be the spare heir.

Xiao Xingchen told his husband that he will be checking on his nephew. Song Lan nodded.

Xiao Xingchen made his way to Wei Ying's office. He saw him standing infront of big portrait. A portrait of his parents. When Xiao Xingchen found out that Wei Ying couldn't remember the face of his Senior sister and brother in law, he took the opportunity to make a portrait of them.

Wei Ying cried so hard when he showed it to him.

"A-Ying."

Wei Ying sniffed and used his sleeves to wiped the tears. Xiao Xingchen smiled sadly.

"Uncle.."

Xiao Xingchen closed the door behind him. He sat and made Wei Ying sat beside him.

"Sorry Uncle.."

"What is there to be sorry about? You miss your parents. It is okay. I miss my Shijie and Brother in law too.."

"Uncle, can you tell me about them again?"

Xiao Xingchen smiled and nodded.

"Shijie was my Grandmaster's disciple and daughter. You had her personality. Bright, mischievous, and a tease. When i was 15, she left the mountain. When she did, she met your father."

"Brother in law was the opposite of your mother. He is calm and serious. He is also loyal. The two fell in love. But, Sect Leader Jiang wasn't happy.."

"Why?" Wei Ying asked. Xiao Xingchen never told him about this.

"He was also in love with your mother. But, he was rejected. Your mother rejected him. After a few years, they got married. They got married after your father left Yunmeng and became a Rogue Cultivator her."

"Then, i was shocked when she came back to the mountain. There, i met you. You were just so small that time. 7-8 months i think. Grandmaster was happy when she had a grandson. Grandmaster almost didn't let you go."

Wei Ying chuckled.

"A-Ying, remember. Your parents always love you."

"I love them too."

Xiao Xingchen pulled him in an embrace. Just then, the door opened.

"A HUG IS NOT COMPLETE WITHOUT US!" Xue Yang exclaimed as he jumped on both of them.

Wei Ying and Xiao Xingchen laughed while Song Lan rolled his eyes while chuckling.

"SECT LEADER WEI!"

"What happened?!"

"THE WENS ARE HERE! Well, Wen Chao is.."

Wei Ying groaned. He had met up with Sect Leader Wen, Wen Ruohan, a few weeks ago. He found out that Wen Ruohan was also a friend of his Mother and Father. Wen Ruohan was so sad when he heard about their death. But when Wei Ying came, he had hugged the boy.

"I am glad you are safe."

"Uncle Xiao and Uncle Song have helped me. Also, Uncle Wen."

"Yes, Xiao Wei?"

"Your son Wen Chao, what is he planning?"

"Planning? What do you mean?-"

Wen Ruohan sighed. "A-Chao is planning to attack all Sects, right?"

"That is what i found out."

"I will make sure to punish him. Don't worry."

"Do not. Just educate him."

"I will."

"Father, who is he?"

"A-xu, this is my friends' son. He is Wei Ying."

Wen Xu bowed. "Sect Leader Wei."

"Young master Wen."

"I want to apologize for my brother's behalf."

"Accepted. I also want to apologize for slapping him-"

"Reasonable."

Wei Ying stood stunned when Wen Chao bowed to him and apologize. The disciples was ready to catch their Sect Leader from collapsing.
