Unconditional Love

Chapter 30- Dominico's POV

"Now where is my food?" she said making grabby hands at the tray of food.

I picked it up and brought it over between us.

"Should I wake up Aiden? he needs to eat and to get clean," She asked me looking down at the little bundle in her arms.

"Yeah go ahead, he has been sleeping for an hour and he has all night to sleep."

She brushed his little forehead with her fingertips and said his name a couple of times till he finally woke.

"Hey sleepyhead," I said as he peeked his head out of the blankets almost looking for me.

He sat on Elvira's lap and looked at me weirdly.

"What?" I said confused about the weird look.

He just crawled over to the food and grabbed a grape that I had cut up into little pieces so he wouldn't choke.

He started eating on it.

Elvira reached over at grabbed a piece of cheese and a cracker not before Aiden smacked her arm.

"Hey what was that for?" She laughed.

"Mine," He said.

"Baby you can't eat all this food," She said.

I just sat there and stared at them laughing.

They both looked at me and stared blankly.

"What?' I said.

"Stop laughing," She said.

"Why can't I laugh, you two are just adorable." I said still laughing slightly.

"Whatever." She said.

She turned her attention back to Aiden and her food.

I grabbed the bucket of ice cream and a spoon. I started eating it.

All the sudden Aiden crawled into my lap and reached into the bucket and grabbed a handful of ice cream shoveling it into his mouth.

"Bub, use a spoon." I said giving him mine. I leaned over to grab a napkin which thank god I brought up and started wiping off his ice cream covered hand as well as the now ice cream covered spoon.

"Here you go." I said handing up back the clean spoon and grabbing another one.

I looked over to Elvira and she was taken aback.

"You guys are mean. Leaving me here all lonely and not sharing the ice cream. How rude." She hair crossing her arms and huffing like a little baby.

"If you really wanted some you would be over here eating it." I said shoving a spoon of ice cream in my mouth.

She crawled over, grabbed a spoon and sat next to me.

She started digging into the bucket.

We finished it off about five minutes later.

I looked at Aiden and he had ice cream running down his chin and all over his shirt and hands.

"I think it's bathtime for you bub." I said picking him up and grabbing another napkin to wipe his face and hands.

I couldn't do anything with his shirt so I just left it.

"No bath." Aiden said.

"Bub you need to take a bath. Your all sticky." I said.

"No bath!" He screamed. I looked at Elvira and she looked surprised by his outburst. She looked up at me and mouthed 'I'll go get the shampoo and some toys' and she got up and walked out the door to get the stuff.
