The Secret Door

Chapter 1

It was a Friday and it was sunny. Lizzy and her friends Jane and Gaze were walking down the lane. Lizzy, Jane and Gaze were all in the same grade, same class. They were best friends. They did everything together. They did all the subjects together and played together and stayed together at school. They had just come from the ice-cream parlor so they all had ice-cream cones in their hands.

"Wow, it's pretty hot today," said Gaze.

"Ya' think?!" exclaimed Jane taking a lick from her ice-cream.

"Well I'm glad we got through gym. That dodge ball game really tired me out. And Tia almost got me in the face!" said Lizzy.

"You know, I think Tia really meant to hit you on the face," said Gaze.

"Well at least I dodged it well, I think," said Lizzy.

"You know guys, we should be enjoying our ice-creams, Not talking about being bullied in school!" said Jane.

She was right. They were being bullied by school. Tia a girl from their class had always bullied them whenever they were near their lockers, at the cafeteria and at the gym. Every place they went Tia was there. She was like a mean packet of sardines. (Or that's what Jane used to call her)

"Anyway, do you guys have any plans for this weekend because it's Friday and my parents' told me that you can come to my house for a sleepover," said Gaze excitedly.

"Eeeeeeeeeeeeee!! You know I always come!!" said Jane jumping up and down.

"Ok then, what about you Liz?" asked Gaze.

"Hmmmm.... You know after all this stuff, I think I also could take a break," said Lizzy smiling.

"Yay! Ok then, come to my house at 4.00 in the evening. Ok?" asked Gaze.

"You got a deal!" said Jane still jumping up and down.

"Count me in!" said Lizzy.

"Ok I'll tell mom to buy some stuff out of the supermarket. All righty then bye!" said Gaze.

"Bye!" said Lizzy and Jane together. And off they went home.
