Jin peeked out of his room when the door bell rang. His father and Namjoon were in the living room while his mother prepared a small cake to cut at midnight for the new year.
It was Namjoon who opened the door and Jin sighed in disappointment when he saw that it was just a deliveryman.
He went back to his room and sat on his bed glancing at his phone.
After some thinking and spending some alone time, he had decided to message about Taehyung.
'Can we please talk?'
Taehyung had not replied. Which was unlike him as he always replied within a few minutes.
Jin sighed as he resisted the urge to call Taehyung. If he had not seen the message he must have been busy.
It was true that Jin was shaken up by what had happened. The suicide note that he had written at his lowest moment in his life was the last thing he expected to see in Taehyung's answer.
It kind of gave all the actions of Taehyung an ulterior motive- something that Jin did not want to think of.
He wanted to believe Taehyung had the best and true intentions in helping him and not just because of the note.
Jin jerked when the doorbell rang again. He walked swiftly towards the door peeking out at the main door with expecting eyes.
He glanced at the clock as Namjoon got up again. He widened his eyes when he saw that it was 11:00.
There was no way his father would allow him to meet Taehyung at this time of the night.
Shit.
What was he thinking!?
Jin looked towards the door when he heard Namjoon speak.
"Oh- Taehyung... Come in"
Taehyung shook his head "Can I see Jin? I want to take him out for a second-"
Namjoon rubbed the back of his head "Uh..."
"Don't you think it's a little too late for that?" Jin's father spoke coming up to the main door.
Jin face palmed himself as he stepped out of his room and went towards them.
"I am sorry Mr Kim. But it's important. Please just for once. I need to talk to Jin"
"Dad-" Jin started.
"No" his father said "it's too late. Especially not with him"
"Honey-"
"I said no"
"Mr Kim" Taehyung said "Please. I am sorry for what occurred previously. But you must understand that me and Jin are friends. Close friends. I request you to let go of what happened in the past and let him go with me please"
