Tom sent me a text to let me know he's crashing at our house for a few days while he does press.

Tom: I ran it by Madden already. Don't freak.

Me: Cool.

Madden going shopping with Hailey has become a bit of a distraction today. She can do whatever she pleases, and I trust her not to get herself into trouble but after all the shit plus Adam is still out there, I've worked myself up a bit. My head is up my arse right now which is killing the vibe on set. My co-star is about ready to smack me because he's doing some really fucking good scenes and I keep killing it. I can't remember my lines, I keep calling him by his real name and not character name, I literally tripped over my own big toe so one could say I'm not in it right now.

The director calls cut for the millionth time today and tells everyone to go for lunch break. He calls me over, throwing his arm over my shoulder. When I think he's going to let me down easy, be calm when directing me; well, I was in for a rude awakening. The comfort of his arm over my shoulder was a play. He starts shouting at me, "What the fuck is up with you today?" I shrug my shoulders at him. I could tell him my girlfriend is currently out in the world, without me and I'm super stressing out here because of what happened. These guys are good guy, every director and producer, etc. that I have had the pleasure of working with are hard on you, but they mean well. Some guys have different approaches, but in the end, they are all effective and make for a good movie. Telling these people this shit is never good. I can only show them so much weakness before they start calling me "lazy" or "impatient". It's just how this business goes, so when they ask you 'what the fuck you're doing?' you usually take that as an no repones necessary question and fucking suck it up.

He points to my trailer and leaves me in his dust. I make the short walk to my trailer and just lay on the floor. My brain was too tired to get the rest of my body to a bed, so I just lay my back flat on the fake tiled floor. I pull my phone out seeing messages from multiple people.

Mara: Press conference tomorrow with Jimmy Fallon. Recording starts at 7PM. Be there for 5:30 to get dolled up.

Tom: I'll be in town on Wednesday. Thought you would like to know.

I respond back: DON'T

Madden: I bought us new shoes!

Madden: Technically you bought us new shoes...I should get a job.

Madden: Want to do dinner with Andrew tonight? If you see him ask.

Madden: We just are having coffee now. Lots of people. Call me on your break <3

DJ: Suck it up butter cup. I got the guys on the radio with me. I know what's going on. She's safe.

Andrew: Want to do dinner tonight? Ran into Madden at a shop, does 8 work?

I respond: See you at 8. Send location.

Andrew: Location Pin Drop (link)

Once I answer the ones I want to answer, I call Madden. She doesn't pick up as quickly as usual, but she does after the fifth ring. "Madds. I've been worried about you, but it seems from your texts you're having a good time?" She must be walking down the sidewalks in LA. The noise in the background is very distracting. "Yeah babe! Andrew said dinner is at 8. Will you be home?" "Yes. When are you coming home?" "Just a few more shops babe. I'm getting us dinner fits!" She sounds excited; I can hear her smile through the phone, and it eases some of my anxiety. Everyone is right, she's fine and she's safe. I take a deep breath and tell her to text me when she's on her way home. "I love you little one." "Me and you always," she says back. I hang up the phone, stand up from the floor and eat a sandwich from the fridge. I chug a bottle of water and march my way back into the studio. Hearing her voice always calms my nerves. I should have called her earlier because now, I'm on my A-Game. I'm killing lines. I'm saving my ass with my strong acting and manage to still finish on time for the day, even with all my screw ups.
