31 - hero

After leaving my wife—which feels fucking fantastic to say—Tom and I hoped on a plane and met up with Mara and DJ in London. Mara released the story to TMZ anonymously before I got back to my home, so now we're sitting by the TV, all on our phones waiting for it to come up. In the time that I got the first message from Spics, she's sent me multiple messages from multiple different numbers. Each time she sends a message I block it, but she somehow comes back with a new number and sends me another one. Every time my phone goes off, I'm hoping it's Madden but it's never her. I've texted her and tried calling once I knew she landed in Toronto and was safe at the cabin, but she won't answer; she's pissed off. I can't blame her for being upset with me and she definitely is. Hailey said that she wouldn't speak to her, and Justin told me he tried to explain it, but she wanted nothing to do with it. The worse part is, we are finally married, and I can't even be with her.

"Breaking News! We received an anonymous tip from one of Hero Tomlin's close friends that he and Madden have called it quits." "They've done this before. This is old news; they'll be back together again." I look up from my phone to see a group of gossips sitting in a room discussing our bullshit leak. "You say that now Turner, but you don't know the whole story. Turns out, Hero's been seeing a few women behind Madden's back. One of the women he slept with while on set sent an Instagram message to Madden telling her how they slept together and are madly in love. Hero admitted the whole thing and the couple have split." Someone picked up the conversation, "And we even have pictures of the couple taking separate flights and Madden has a lot of packed suitcases going along with her." They show fake images of Madden and a bunch of suitcases. "Looks like Snow White is going back to rags." The group laughs. My fists clench at my sides. "We've got fans spamming us about this breakup, some saying they also slept with Hero Tomlin. Guess the British Bad Boy never went away." They continue with the conversation, trashing me and Madden so I shut it off.

"Anything?" I turn to Tom. He shakes his head no. I asked him to reach out to Madden but he's not having any luck. I thought maybe out of all of us, she'd be likely to talk to Tom. The two of them have a really strong friendship and sometimes, she lets him get away with things that I wouldn't get away with. I think she tolerates some things from him because she expects better for, and I can't complain with that knowledge. I will always try to do the best for her and when she's mad at me, it's not for an invalid reason so I can accept her ignoring but not for so long. Mara suggested that she call her, but I told her to leave Madden alone for a bit. I don't think she wants to hear from any of us right now and if we force her to talk to us, I'm scared of her reaction. I look down at my left hand, spinning the wedding band around my finger, lost in thought. Is this the right thing to do? Should I just go hide out with her? Is there another way to get Spics off my back? No—I need proof. How long is this going to be? I just want to wrap my arms around my wife...

My phone vibrates in my hand, pulling me away from my thoughts and I quickly check the screen. It's another unknown number.

No more girl friend to get in our way. I knew once you heard from me, you'd drop her. We're meant to be Hero. Don't forget it.

This is the first time she's ever dropped her name. I didn't block it this time though, instead I answer.

It's not going to happen.

I turn off my phone then stand up from the couch. "I'm going to take a shower than head to bed."

It's been days since I've heard from Madden and I'm starting to worry. Justin told me that she won't respond to any of us, but he knows she's okay because the security team has been keeping an eye on her. I feel bad for using the security guys to spy on her but my mind is reeling from not hearing from her. I feel bad, but not bad enough to stop myself from checking in with them.
