Chapter 27 Riley's first word and first step

Topanga's POV

"Okay Riley we are going to cook some dinner for the boys because they are going to be hungry when they get here." I said as I put Riley in her high chair.

"What should we make?" I asked as I looked through the cabinet.

"I didn't expect an anwser because Riley doesn't talk yet.

"Getty!" Riley mumbled as she chewed on her toy.

I turned around and looked at Riley. Her first word was spaghetti just the short version.

"Honey I'm home!" Cory yelled.

"Cory she said her first word!" I said smiling.

"What was it?" He asked as he kissed her on the head.
"Getty!" I said.
"Oh yeah?" Cory said as he hugged me.
While I cooked dinner Cory graded papers and Riley chewed her toy.
"Home!" Shawn yelled.
"Shawn!" Riley said as she dropped her toy and then clapped.
"She said Shawn's name." I said as I put the food on the table.
"Yeah that's really great." Cory said with a smile.
*after dinner*
Shawn cleaned the dinner table up and I made popcorn.
"What movie?" Cory asked.
"Anythings fine with me." Shawn and I said at the same time.
"Okay." Cory said as he put a movie in.
Riley was sitting on the floor playing with her toys.
Cory's POV
I was a little jealous that Riley said Shawn's name before my name but what can you do? The movie was almost over and Topanga was sound asleep. Shawn, Riley, and I were the only ones still awake.
"How was work today Cor?" Shawn asked.
"It was fine." I said still looking at the TV.
"Dadda! Mamma! Seepy time!" Riley said as she walked over to us.
"Topanga! Topanga!" Shawn and I yelled
"What?" She yelled.
"Riley! She said Dadda and mamma!" I said with a smile.
"She walked over to us too." Shawn said with a smile.
"Really?" She asked.
"Yes!" I said.
"That's amazing!" She said as she picked Riley up.
I watched Topanga and Riley disappear upstairs. Shawn and I finished the movie then went to bed.
Shawn's POV
*ring! Ring!*
"Hey!" The voice said through the phone.
"Hi! Who is this?" I asked.
"It's..."
