Chapter 23 Maya Ann Hart the storm

Shawn's POV 

"The winter storm has caused New York to go under a no travel Warning! Stay where you are guys and dont try to leave." The man on the news said. 

Katy and I are at the Café by ourself. 

"I can't believe we are stuck in this storm! I mean really!" Katy yelled

"It's fine Katy. We just have to be calm." I said slowly

"Yeah we were fine five seconds ago!" Katy said panicking 

"What does that mean?" I asked as I shot Katy a look. 

It was at that moment that I reliezed I was stuck in the Café with a girl who was due anyday now. 

"My water just broke!" Katy cried

"Its okay Katy! Maybe the storm will lighten up and ill be able to get you to the hospital." I said with hope. 

"Shawn Hunter you don't know New York storms!" Katy yelled as she sank to the ground

"Your ganna have to deliver this baby." Katy said with a small smile

*1 hour later*

"Topanga! Can you take to KAty and help calm her down" I asked Topanga thourgh the phone.

"Yeah." She said as I handed the phone to Katy

I ran to the back and grabbed towals and blankets like Topanga told me. 

"Shawn!" Katy yelled.

I ran back out into the dinning room. 

"It's time!" She said out of breath. 

I took the phone from Katy that way Topanga could talk and help me. 

"First you need to lay the towals down on the floor and then you need to check for the head." Topanga said. 

"I can't she is a married women!" I said.

"Shawn Patrick!" Topanga yelled. 

"I see the head!" I said.

"Good now take a towal and grab the head tell her to push." Topanga said.

"She is out!" I yelled

"Yay!" Topanga yelled.

I wrapped Maya in a blanket and sat next to Katy with Maya in my hand. 

"Shawn I need to tell you something." Katy said tiredly.

"Not now Katy just rest." I said as I looked down at maya.

She looked up at me with her big blue eye's. Her eye's looked like the ocean she was beautiful and I helped deliever this child. 

*3 hours later*

*CRASH* 

My eye's shot open, I looked down and I was still holding Maya and Katy's head was rested on my leg. I slowly looked over at the door.

"Who's there?" I yelled.

"Open the money draw!" I herd.

"No!" I yelled.

"What?" The man yelled as he appeared in front of me. 

"Open it or I will kill your wife and your daughter." He said. 

I looked at Katy who was wide awake now and I seen the terror in her eye's.

"Okay!" I said as I handed Maya to Katy. 

I got up slowly and then I walked to the counter. I pressed the red button (which contacted the cops) as I opened the draw. The guy grabbed the money and rushed out. 

*Ring! Ring!*

I grabbed the phone real fast.

"Hello?" I said into the phone.

"Hi, it's officer Buck. What is yur problem?" He asked

"Two things. One my Co-worker gave birth at about 12:26 am so we need to get to the hospital and second we just got robbed!" I said Semi clam.

"Where are you located?" The offer asked.

"Really? You can call here but you don't know where it is? Ugg! It's the Café on Market Street!" I said.

"Okay we sent a cop and an ambulance to your location." He said as he hung up.

*30 Minutes later*

"Shawn! Please come with!" Katy said as they put her in the ambulance. 

"Sure." I said as I hopped in the ambulance.

*At Hospital*

"Maya Ann Hart!" Katy said to the doctor. 

"Okay and birth date?" The doctor asked.

"January 16th, 2002 at 12:26am." I said.

"Okay well you two have a healthy baby girl! She is 7lbs 3 ounce and 21 inches." The doctor said as he walked out. 

"Well I better go clean up the Café." I said as I kissed Maya on the forhead and then gave her to Katy.

"People think she is my daughter why?" I asked myself as I walked down the hall way.

"Maybe it's just because Katy and I were together.." I said as I walked out of the hospital.
