The birthday girl is well a girl and it is assumed that today is her birthday. This phrase or title is normally thrown around by a parent or other relative.

Autum was only a couple days from her birthday. Autum sat quietly as everyone ran to their parents. She was finally going home. She would no longer feel trapped. Although her time here was not very pleasant she made some happy memories with the people she met. Alex put her hand on Autum's shoulder as her and Melissa walked up.

"Check out Chris," Melissa said, pointing to him slowly rolling to a car. The door opened fast as a cute tall girl popped out. She had long dark hair with bangs off to the side.

"There he is, did you have fun?" She sounded like his mother. Definitely too young. Maybe his sister. She was very loud as well. Chris turned away from her gritting his teeth. "Now don't give me that look-." Her words became quiet as she pulled him from the chair and kissed him. The girls looked in a bit of shock.

"That's why he looked all mopey," Melissa said, punching her palm. "Don't worry he missed you!" Chris looked over angry. Chirs tried to pull away but she hugged him tight.

"Can we go now?" Chris asked as she put him back in his chair.

"Ok," she said super cheery. "Goodbye Chris's friends!" The girls waved as they drove off. Autum saw her father leaving the main building. Autum rolled herself to the car as soon as possible. Her father noticed the painting in her lap but said nothing about it.

"Don't you want to introduce me to your new friends?" Autum was anxious to get in the car.

"Can we just go?" Her father just gave a faint smile and helped her in the car.

"So did you have fun?"

"No," Autum said buckling up. As her father climbed into the car everyone outside started screaming.

'Bye Autum!" Melissa yelled cupping her mouth. Autum reached out the window and waved goodbye to them. As her eyes glided by them Felix was on the end and he gave a faint smile. Emotion bursted out of Autum. The thought of what almost was and the opportunity she threw away for a guy who might not feel the same made tears cover her face.

"Are you ok?" Her father checked her forehead for a fever.

"I'm fine ok," Autum said pulling away. The rest of the ride was quiet. Autum tried to silence her whimpers. When they pulled up to the house Summer and Beth were waiting outside. Autum grudgingly pulled herself from the car and plopped into her chair as Beth set it up.

"What's wrong?" Beth asked, hugging her.

"Summer is here," Summer said, opening her arms for a big hug. Autum gave Summer's legs a quick hug and rolled into the house. The girls followed her as she went all the way to her room and pulled herself onto her bed and just laid there crying.

"Let's just let her rest shall we," Beth said, closing the door a bit.

Autum spent the rest of the day crying until she fell asleep. She woke up late the next day and saw a plate next to her of food. There was a note that said Beth was out and Summer would be back tomorrow. Autum pulled herself into her chair and rolled to her favorite place in the living room. Autum looked to the window where Sunny normally was.

Today was his day off. He never came over to say hi now that she was back. Autum just stared down at her lap until Beth came home.

"I have food for tomorrow," she came in singing. Autum didn't look up. "Now what is with you lately." Tears ran down Autum's face again. Beth put down her bags and gave Autum a hug. Autum began to tell her about the trip and about Felix.
