JOSH'S POV
the pretty girl from mcdonald's slipped her number into the bag and i winked. ffs why did i wink? she was fit, i thought we could become fuck buddies yk. damn. i just made her so upset, i didn't think she would care this much, who am i kidding, of course she will, she loves me but i love her more.

BACK TO SAPHIRA'S POV
you rush up towards the staircase knowing that josh would follow behind you. he would obviously take the lift so i decided to be smart and take the stairs but, that was stupid since there were so many, instead of climbing up the stairs you decide to take a break and sit on one of the steps.

you pull out your phone and instantly went on snapchat and checked how you looked, just as you expected, pretty with a hint of smudged mascara flowing down my cheeks. it's fine though right? no one was going to see you anyways.. footsteps? someone was coming down the stairs. UGH who even takes stairs these days. you put your hood up and try to hide yourself. soon enough this person reaches the flight of stairs you were sitting on, he stood there, confused.

"saphira?" the voice said, it was a man, how did he know me?

"y-yes" you say as your voice crack and without moving or turning around

"what happened? are you okay?" he rushed over to you

"do i know you?" you ask, still not making eye contact with this person

"tobi, tobi brown" he says letting out his hand to shake

you stand up next to him and hug him, without saying anything. he froze for a second but then hugged back, he decided it's best to keep his questions for later.

you sob into his chest and he hushed you rubbing circles on your back, he really was comforting you.

your sons slow down and you pull away from the hug.

"sorry" you say and you walk away continuing your journey up the stairs

"hey, not so quickly" he says grabbing onto your wrist "what happened?" he asks

"it's a long story and it's very dumb, d on t worry about me, i'm sorry you had to see me like this" you apologise as you flags a fake smile

tobi let's go of your wrist and decides it's best not to argue with someone who's upset.

"i'm number 366, come to mine at 8pm yeah?" he asks with hope in his eyes

"sure, as long as you don't ask what happened," you say hesitantly

"see you then" he says

i walk off without saying anything. how many more stairs were there ugh. this was a leg workout.

soon you make it up all those stairs and see josh outside your apartment door. what does he possibly want from me? i made a mistake coming here. i should've stayed with kayleigh.

you try to hide but he sees you

"babe please, he put a receipt in, it wasn't her number it was nothing." he says clearly upset

"no it's not about the girl, josh i'm not mad at you, just don't worry about me please" you say. emotionlessly.

"i hate to see you like this, please tell me what happened" he almost begs

"it's nothing, can i please go inside i need to lay down for a bit, i don't feel t-to um" you start panting, loudly, suddenly you faint.
