Chapter 17: their seventeenth separation

"Ok Jungwon, can you tell me if Jay is being nice to you. Or perhaps treating you right?" Ni-ki asked.

Jungwon shook his head and answered, "Not exactly, he's been acting- just weird. Jay was not the old Jay, yet I look forward for him everyday. Jay always tries to avoid me or be busy to not hang out with me. I hate it! I wanna be with him for a long time!"

"Well I want to tell you why Jay has been doing this." Ni-ki mumbled, making Jungwon spring out and do a "huh?!".

"Do you remember Mira? The girl who I left you for?" Ni-ki asked.

Jungwon nodded. "Short story short, she proposed to Jay. She likes Jay, but he used to like her. Jays mind has been filled with her and often makes excuses to avoid you since it's hard for him to see you while the mess happened.he still doesn't realise that he lost feelings for her." Ni-ki explained.

Jungwon got frightened, as tears were soon escaping from his eyes. His body feels a lost sensation. He rubs those tears before Ni-ki notices it.

"How do you know such stuff huh?" Jungwon asked. "Jay told me, he even texted Sunoo about this. I have a screenshot that Sunoo sent me about him. Maybe that can help me prove that all of this is true."Ni-ki convinced.

"Well that's it? Or there's more stuff." Jungwon coldly questioned. "No no, that's all. You deserve to know it because I want the two of you to fix your-" Ni-ki said before he got cut off by Jungwon saying, "I'm breaking up with him. Got tired of him always being suspicious and trying to look smart in front of me. I'm sure we'll both lose feelings after we break up and we'll never see each other again.He can finally be with his Mira now."

Ni-ki nodded in silence. Feeling regret.

End of flashback

"Let's break up" Jungwon mumbled. Jay flinched, rubbed his eyes, sweated a little and a shiver let down his spine. "Wonnie aren't you joking?" Jay asked.
"No I said I'm serious. Let's break up for real. You love Mira. You can finally be with Mira right." Jungwon was straight and direct in what he said. Tears fell of Jay's eyes as he said, "What? Ni-ki told you this?!" He exclaimed.
"Yes now can we break up please?" Jungwon screamt. "Why do you want to break up with me!You know I love you and only you?!" Jay asked.

"I want to break up with you because I cannot take up the stress you gave me for the past three weeks. I was worried constantly thinking that you changed but guess what? You just regained your stupid feelings for that dumb idiot who Ni-ki left me for. I'm sure we'll both stop loving each other. It was just for a short period of time. Thank you for your interference to ruin my life." Jungwon said that before he crossed the road and stepped in the bus by himself.

Sunoo found out that Jay was crying in the exit. He soon ran to him and hugged him as Jay cried on his shoulder.

"Jungwon..he broke up with me.He found out through Ni-ki. He did it. He just left me. I love him...but he wanted to break up." Jay said that while wiping his tears.

Sunoo patted his back, "Then confirm if you've lost feelings for Mira. I'm sure you've did because you lighted Jungwon's life. You made his life filled with more colours when you came. The two of you are just the best couple I've ever seen. Please get your man and reduce the mess. Well, please confront Mira. In that case, you can also see if your heart still beats, or you still get that rush in you." He comforted his best friend.

"Jungwon wont love me anymore. He wouldn't give me the love the way it was before. They were my best days with him. Well it's ruined, it's all wrecked. I ruined everything. I ruined his life as well as my life." Jay sobbed harder. Sunoo hugged him tighter.

"No Jay, stop. Don't say this. Jungwon would still love you the way he ever fantasised and loved you. I used to see him stare at you, as if he was madly in love. Whenever me and you were often at Heeseung hyung's, I always used to see Jungwon stare at you like he found a gem. Even if you dated, loved, changed from a year ago when he started liking you, he still loved you right.When you dated him, he was just constantly talking about you to me. He still loves you, he would love you no matter what." Sunoo said something big that hit into Jay's realisation.

"Wait, so you're saying that he liked me a year ago, a total different me. And he still likes me so that's why he confessed and we were dating. Now broke up. Ugh I hate this how to even earn his heart?!" Jay groaned.

"You know what, we'll both go with a plan. Confront Mira and check if you still have feelings for her so that things don't mess up more. Till then I'll talk to Jungwon about this. So y'all are just couples who broke apart and I will just try to clean this mess. You both need personal space as of now." Sunoo stated. Jay nodded willingly.

"Why don't you hate me, I hurt your Jungwonie."
