Naps and Rainbows (Snoozing Carpenter x Female!Reader)

Another sleepy spirit to add to the mix. Since it's almost the end of pride month, I wanted to do something special for this rainbow occasion. This one shot has been in my drafts for quite a while and I think it's finally time for it to be official!

"Whew! I think that's the last of them."

Snoozing Carpenter wiped off a bit of sweat from her brow and gazed at her work with pride. All the beautiful embroidered fabrics that she place all over the ark, had made the ship wreck slightly more colorful. 'I'm feeling a bit sleepy...' She thought, her eyes fluttering slowly, about to doze off. 

"Hey! I see you're done with putting those up!" Snooze woke up with a jolt from the sound of her lover's voice. A bright smile plastered on your face as you walked over to her. "Ah, yes! It took me the whole day to do it!" Snooze chuckled lightly and twirled a lose strand of her tied up hair. 'Why is she so pretty-' 

"Well that's good." You stretched your back and dusted off your hands. "I'm done with my share of tasks, so do you wanna do something? I know a great place to hang out!" Snooze looked a bit unsure. "I-I don't know..." You went behind her and put your arms around her waist, your head resting upon her shoulder. She blushed as you whispered playfully into her ear, "Somewhere no one could bother us...C'mon, what do you say, Sleeping Beauty?" Snooze reddened more at the nickname. She sighed and smiled gently. "Ok...I suppose I need some relaxation." 

"Awesome! Now let's go!" You grabbed her hand and ran off to a undisturbed place, away from the Ark. Sand drifted in specks over your legs quietly as the wind carried them. The only sounds you and Snooze could hear for miles were the large paddles of the ark waving in the breeze. You stayed still to enjoy the soft gusts of wind billowing at your face. You sat on the sand and gestured for your girlfriend to sit with you too. Snooze did so and leaned closer to you. 

Your hand snuck its way to intertwine with Snooze's, your thumb lightly rubbing the carpel of her hand. "Look! A rainbow!" You pointed to the arch of the seven different colors. "Wow, in the dark?" Snooze asked in awe. "It might be that annual Rainbow event that the skykids are preparing." You answered. Snooze sighed happily and nuzzled against your shoulder. "It's beautiful.." She breathe out. 

"Yep!" You chirped. Snooze then cupped your cheek, making you look at her and in that moment she kissed you. Slight surprise etched on your face for a second, but you gave no hesitation to return her loving kiss. Snooze giggled in the affectionate moment. Her kisses felt like butterflies fluttering its wings around your face. You pulled away and said in a soft tone, "I love you. So much." Your significant other blushed the hundredth time today and her eyes twinkled with such fondness that you thought would melt under her gaze. "I love you too, and thank you for bringing me here." You just winked in response. 

As the stars and the rainbow sparkled above, you heard the quiet snores come from Snooze, napping to heart's content. You planted a small forehead kiss and she seemed to smile in her sleep. 

It was a perfect night. Alone, just you and your girlfriend. And a lovely rainbow showing its seven colored glory.

"Aww! Aren't they the cutest couple you've seen?!" Playfight exclaimed, her hands on both her cheeks.

"We've been spying on them for about half an hour now. Can we go?" The muralist tiredly said. 

"Shut up! Aww! (Y/N)'s giving her another kiss!" 

"Bird give me strength..."
