Three months had passed and everything was going smoothly. The group had agreed on naming the sect the Wei Clan of Yiling, seeing that Wei Ying was the one to come up with the idea of building a sect.
They got many people to join. Some were wandering cultivators and others were normal people in the street with extraordinary talents. Some were even doctors.
However, there was one thing that they had in common, they all practiced demonic cultivation.
They learned to use it safely and not in a dangerous way. The doctors used their own skills unless it was needed to defend themselves.
Wei Ying made sure to teach them all how to use a sword and an instrument. He often taught the younger kids how to cultivate a golden core.
He was known as the Yiling Patriarch by many around the cultivating world. News of him traveled to many other sects.
The Wen Clan heard of this and went into chaos. All of them thought that he had died, not that he had created a new sect.
Wei Ying was thriving in his new home, but he still felt as if something was wrong. He still wanted to get revenge, even after all these years of being happy.
He told his friends that he was going to travel a bit before coming back. It wasn't exactly a lie, but it wasn't the full truth either.
He went to Qishan where he changed talismans. He made sure to change the way they were used to not protect, but kill.
He arrived at a mansion where he stood on the rooftop of a room. He looked down at a hall where Wen Chao yelled for his servants that were dead. Wei Ying raised the flute to his lips and played a soft melody. The doors opened and in walked a figure.
It was Lingjiao, she was dragging her feet as she walked in the room. The melody grew stronger and stronger.
"Stay away!" Wen Chao yelled, he shut his eyes tight at the high pitched ringing in his head and grabbed his head with a groan.
Lingjiao had blood running down from her nose and past her lips. She reached an arm out, "Help," she said softly.
"Leave me alone!" Wen Chao yelled, he drew his sword and waved it at the woman, "Leave me alone!"
She kept on walking closer and the man walked backwards. "Please help me," she begged. "Help me."
Wen Chao stabbed Lingjiao's stomach with a yell, but the woman kept speaking, "Help." She walked forward with the sword impaled in her stomach.
The man walked back and pulled the sword out. Lingjiao fell to the ground and crawled towards him, "Help me."
"Leave me alone!" Wen Chao fell back and scrambled away from the crawling woman.
"Help me," she said, "help me."
"Get away!" He thrashed around in hopes of getting the woman off of him. But it was no use, because she was never there.
The real Lingjiao was using a stick in defense to the air, "I'm sorry! I shouldn't have got you killed! I'm sorry!" She fell to her knees and dropped the stick. She took a broken piece of thick glass and picked it up with shaky hands, "I'll-I'll punish myself!" She said.
She raised the glass and cut her forehead. It was a deep and long cut that was bleeding heavily, "I scarred your face, I'll make up for it. I'll make up for it!"
A long piece of cloth flew in through the window and landed on a board on the roof. She looked back and saw a figure past it on the roof. The figure was playing a flute, which reached her ears.
Soon the woman was hanging from the roof by the long piece of cloth. While Wen Chao kowtowed to the air, "Please don't kill me! I didn't kill you! It was Wen Zhuliu! Not me!"
Zhuliu came in through the door and ran to his master. He grabbed the man's collar and pulled him up, "Let's go," he said.
"I didn't do it!" Wen Chao yelled as he was pulled away. He cried out and screamed every once in a while as he was dragged away.
Wei Ying smiled a bit at the sight before quietly following them.
He arrived at a house where he walked in and went up the stairs slowly, he had no rush for he knew they could never truly escape him.
He arrived at the room and laughed as he walked in, he could hear Wen Chao saying Wen Zhuliu's name. "Do you really think calling out his name will help you?" He turned to the other man, "Wen Zhuliu. Do you really believe that you can save his pathetic life from me?"
The man stood still, "I will try with mu life."
Wei Ying scoffed, "Such a loyal dog!"
"I have to repay His Excellency for the kindness of promotion."
Wei Ying's face turned dark, "What a joke! Why do other people have to pay for your gratitude to Wen Ruohan?" He lifted Chenqing to his lips and played a dark melody.
Wen Chao heard this and scampered to the corner of the room in fear causing him to smile viciously.
A woman appeared from thin air, dressed in a bright red hanfu. She stood before Wen Chao and reached down to lift his hood.
Wen Chao looked at her, frightened to his wits, before passing out.
The woman was about to attack him when Wen Zhuliu tried to block her. She noticed him and moved away before letting her long nails dig into his arm.
The two fought which ended in Wen Zhuliu getting scratched multiple times and the woman disappearing into the wall.
Wen Zhuliu turned to Wei Ying and ran towards him in rage.
At that moment, the roof collapsed and a man fell down. It was Jiang Cheng. He had let his Zidian go and entangle itself around Wen Zhuliu's neck.
Wangji fell in front of Wei Ying, blocking him from any harm.
The three watched the Wen get strangled to death. Wei Ying looked at Wangji in shock before turning heel and running.
