After a procedure that lasted around three hours, Wen Ning was in a stable condition. However, he was being kept under the Stygian Tiger Amulet which would channel his resentment and turn it into energy.
Wei Ying knew this was risky and that it could corrupt his mind, but he was willing to take the risk.
Wen Qing stayed with her brother for a while before going to take care of her kids. She had also brought a few more people from the Wen Clan that were innocent. They were all women, elderly, and children.
Wei Ying saw one of the kids and noticed something different about him, he had a face structure similar to Wangji's.
He asked for the boy's name and found out that his name was Wen Yuan. He ended up adopting the young boy and making sure he got everything he wanted.
Xingchen, Xue Yang, and Song Lan also adopted two kids, their names were Wang Liang and Li Qing.
Everything was going fine, things were peaceful with them.
On Wangji's side, however, everything was going haywire. "We have to kill them!"
"I agree! They're probably planning on attacking us!"
"You're wrong," a low voice said.
Everyone turned to see Wangji, "Hanguang Jun? What do you mean?"
"Wei Ying will not attack us," the man replied with a dark look, "and you cannot attack him."
"Wangji! Watch your words when speaking to the clan leaders!" Lan Qiren hissed.
Wangji stood up and bowed to him, "I apologize uncle, but considering the fact that Wei Ying is a clan leader, they should not be badmouthing him."
"Who said he's a clan leader?!" A clan leader spat, "He's just a naive teenager who knows nothing of the world!"
Wangji turned to him with a slight frown, "Wei Ying is wise, and doesn't let himself be easily influenced. He knows more about the world than you do."
  "Wangji!"
The man turned to the elder, "I apologize uncle, but I will not be taking place in anything that involves hurting Wei Ying."
Qiren looked as if he was about to pass out, "You-you would go against your own clan for that brat?!"
Wangji looked straight in his eyes, "Yes."
Everyone's eyes widened and began whispering among themselves. Qiren was about to explode, "Then you have no right being in this clan anymore!"
He reached out and pulled off Wangji's headband from his head earning multiple gasps from the crowd.
"From this moment on, you are no longer a member of this clan!" Qiren yelled.
Wangji looked at the man in shock, his lip quivering and his hands shaking. No...no this can't be possible.
His face grew hard, "I am no longer part of this clan, I am no longer your nephew. Let us never cross paths again, Grandmaster Lan." He bowed deeply before turning heel and walking away.
He walked out of the building and went straight to Yiling, his thoughts coming and going and his emotions going in circles.
This couldn't be real. He couldn't have gotten kicked out of his clan. No, this isn't real. Wangji could feel the shock pass and realization hit.
He lifted his hand to touch his forehead and felt nothing, his hand shook intensely and his eyes widened.
He felt himself grow lightheaded. He leaned on a nearby tree and held onto his head, his vision going in and out.
The man had tears in his eyes, his heart pounding loudly in his chest. He couldn't breathe, he couldn't breathe!
No...no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!
His eyes grew red and he felt the tears falling down his face. He covered his mouth with one hand and stumbled forward, feeling an arm catch him he look up and saw him.
"Wei Ying..." he whispered, his voice shaky.
"Lan Zhan! Are you okay? What happened?!" Wei Ying held him by the shoulders and asked frantically.
Wangji felt his throat closing up and choked out a sob. His head dropped and Wei Ying gently took him in his arms.
"Hey, what happened?" He said softly,  holding the man close to him. He stood there for a moment feeling his shoulder get wet with tears.
Wangji was shaking terribly, his hands clutching onto Wei Ying's back desperately. Don't leave, please don't leave me!
After a few minutes the man calmed down and pulled away from Wei Ying reluctantly. He looked away, embarrassed.
"Do you want to go to an inn or go to come home with me?" Wei Ying asked softly, his thumbs wiping the man's tears gently.
"With you," Wangji mumbled.
"Okay," Wei Ying nodded and intertwined his fingers with the man's. He tugged his hand a bit and led Wangji to his mansion.
As they walked he would constantly look at Wangji, who was looking down, with concerned eyes.
"Lan Zhan, do you want to talk about it?" He asked softly, "I know something just happened but talking about it might help."
Wangji nodded, "Un-Grandmaster Lan kicked me out of the sect."
Wei Ying's eyes widened, "Why?"
"They wanted to attack you, and I didn't let them. I told them that I would choose you over them, and got kicked out," Wangji whispered.
"I'm sorry Lan Zhan," Wei Ying murmured.
"Not your fault," Wangji said. He looked as if he didn't want to keep on talking so Wei Ying decided tp leave him alone.
The kept on walking until the sun set and soon arrived at the big mansion. Wei Ying walked in and greeted the guards before taking Wangji to a room.
"This is my room, you can stay here for now while I sleep on the floor," Wei Ying said.
Wangji looked at him, "Why on the floor?"
"I assumed you would be uncomfortable if I slept with you," Wei Ying said. The man shook his head in response, "Are you sure?"
"Yes," Wangji said, he moved to the other side of the bed and let Wei Ying get in.
The two faced each other on the bed and Wei Ying smiled, "You should rest."
Wangji nodded, "Mn." He hesitantly reached an arm out, Wei Ying noticed this and grabbed the man's arm to his waist.
"You can hug me if you feel more comfortable," Wei Ying said.
The man in white moved closer and hugged Wei Ying carefully. Wei Ying hugged him back and played with his hair. He felt nice inside at this and Wei Ying did too.
The two were comfortable in each other's arms, as they fell asleep.
