I took out my phone in my pocket; I immediately saw that my little brother was online and playing Sword Art Online.
“Damn that idiot brother of mine, already playing computer games this early in the morning” I told myself. I always hated it, that my brother became addicted to computer games due to my influence, but I can’t supervise him all the time because of my time work schedule.
If only I have a bit more free time, suddenly my phone ring. I look at it straight away, the head doctor of the Full Dive technology is calling.
“Good morning Sir. How may I help you sir?” I answered the phone.
“Good morning Rai, after you arrive at the lab please tell the staff that don’t do anything rush to the program until I arrive. I will run the system diagnostic myself” said Doctor.
“Yes sir.” I replied. He immediately hung up the phone.
I forgot to introduce myself, I am Raifael Laurenfrost. That's right I'm not from around here, I was originally from Europe. But one of my friends invited me to work with him, his name is Kentaro Yamada. And he introduced me to Dr Kayaba Akihiko.
I’m working at RECTO Corporation; they have a lot of research materials and innovative inventions but one of the most popular one is the Nerve Gear. It allows the user to experience the full potential of the full dive virtual reality technology, but it cannot be accomplished without the help of our genius inventor Dr. Kayaba Akihiko.
One hour has passed and I arrived at the research lab of RECTO Corporation. I swiftly came out of my car and went straight to the front door.
The door opened automatically with a futuristic sound effects, and I took advantage of this opportunity and walk slowly and dramatically in entering the building.
I went to the front desk and made a casual greeting to Yui Kotegawa, "Good Morning Yui. You grow more beautiful every time I see you."
Yui blushed and made a smile "Thank you Rai" replied Yui "how was the server maintenance at room C7?" continued Yui.
"Well, still in progress, but last night my team found out a bug in the system. I want to ask the Doctor about the matter at hand. The official launch of Sword Art Online is due tomorrow." I said to Yui.
"I see, but the Doctor is still not here." Yui told me.
"Okay, then I'll just proceed to the room C7" I continued.
I swipe my I.D card to the scanner and went straight to the room C7. By the way, Kotegawa Yui is really pretty with hergreen eyes, especially with her smooth white skin that is almost transparent and her long black hair. She has a friendly and sweet personality that will make you fall in love.
I arrived in room C7 where the server of Sword Art Online is located, I immediately spotted Kentaro Yamada. A member of my team and last night he manages to discover a bug in the system. "Yamada, how was the system?" I ask Yamada.
"Well the system is fine, but I found some irregularities inside the program and I'm currently running a diagnostic to the system" replied Yamada.
"What do you mean? The Doctor personally told me not to do anything to the system until he arrives." I told Yamada.
"Yeah, but I'm almost finished" replied Yamada.
The door automatically opened and the Doctor arrived with a sour face.
"Sir, we detected some irregularities within the game and we strongly advised to postpone the official launch" said Yamada.
"Do not concern yourselves about the program at hand, I'll run the system diagnostics myself" replied the Doctor.
"Alright" replied Yamada.
I've got a feeling that the Doctor is hiding something and what about the irregularities in the game? But I can't do anything rush; it might ruin the official launch of the game.
I went to Yamada to ask him about the irregularities he found within the program. “Yamada, what have you found about the irregularities” I ask him sarcastically.
He grab my right arm and led me to his office “Please Rai, don’t tell anyone about this matter. Can I trust you?” Yamada pleaded me.
I was confused about the sudden change of his personality. “What’s wrong? Is there a problem about the program?” I ask him.
Yamada made an anxious expression “Yes, I’m not quite sure yet. But I made a Back Door program in the system just to be certain”
Back Door Program? I’m not really sure what is he talking about but I’ll just ask him. “So about the irregularities of the program” he immediately cut me off.
Yamada has a nervous look and said “Just trust me, here” he handed me a portable tablet.
“What am I going to do with this?” I ask him
“Everything you need to know is inside this portable tablet” Yamada told me and he turns around and swiftly walks toward his desk and begun compiling his notes and data.
I’m not really sure what’s going on right now, I’ll just check what’s wrong about the program.
I left the office of Yamada and went straight to my office to investigate this matter.
