“Riiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnggggggg” the sound of my alarm clock ringing. “Arrrhhh, it’s already 7 A.M., damn I’m still sleepy. I was playing till 2:00 in the morning and was not able to have a good night sleep.” I reach for my clock and press the button to stop the ringing.
“Gabriel wake up it’s already 7 A.M., hurry up and eat your breakfast or I’ll eat your share” a loud voice came from down stairs.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m coming” I responded. My brother is really demanding in the morning, and it’s starting to annoy me. I left my bed and went straight to the bathroom to wash my face and hands.
Oh yeah I almost forgot my name is Gabriel Laurenfrost, 14 years old. Today is weekend so I have a day off to play all day long, and the one who was yelling loudly earlier was my stupid elder brother.
His currently cooking breakfast, his very reliable all the time but due to his work his always out and I get to use the house for my own convenience. And because of him I was able to play the beta test of Sword Art Online.
He won on a lottery for one of the one thousand people to play the beta test of Sword Art Online, his very lucky in this kind of things. But he always tells me that luck has nothing to do with it. What a full of crap.
“Gabriel, hurry up and come down stairs, so you can eat your breakfast” Yelled by my elder brother again.
“Coming, I’m just washing my face and hands” I replied. I hurriedly climb down the stairs and proceed to the kitchen. I can smell the delicious egg rolls and hot chocolate made by my elder brother.
“I’ll be coming home late because of work, my boss asked me to help him in the maintenance of the server, so here’s 7,000 yen for your allowance this weekend” he handed me the money.
“What’s wrong with the servers?” I asked my brother.
“Nothing much, just a bug has been detected in the system” replied by my elder brother.
“Ahhh, kay” I said. I was enjoying the egg rolls and the hot chocolate. I’m not really familiar with the term they use in systems and whatnot so I just want to look like, I know what his talking about.
When my elder brother finished his breakfast he took his plate and his coffee mug to the sink and climb up stairs to take a bath and get ready for work.
What should I do today, maybe after finishing my breakfast I’ll just log in to Sword Art Online? “Hehehe” I’m getting excited, I’ll ask my friends later to party with me, especially that Kitaro; his very skilled in the way of the sword.
Maybe calling it the way of the sword is kind of childish, oh well. I finished my breakfast and took my plate and coffee mug and placed it on the sink and started to wash the plates.
“Gabriel I’ll be going now” said by my elder brother. I appear, he left for work.
After that I preceded upstairs and turn-on my beloved computer and messaged my friends to be ready to log-in to Sword Art Online. I took the time on reading the news about the announcement for the official launch of Sword Art Online.
I lay on my bed and wore the Nerve Gear and said “Link Start” and a bright light envelope my entire vision, an array of colours came into my sights and I tested if my sight, touch, hearing, smell and taste are working properly inside the game. After that I log in my account name and password; my entire vision was envelope by a bright light again.
When I opened my eyes, I was inside the game. I could see my level, name of my character and health bar in the top left side corner of my vision. I swipe my right hand from up to down and a menu appeared with various options.
