When I opened my eyes, I was back in my room, lying on my bed while wearing the Nerve Gear. Experiencing the full dive technology rendered me unable to go back to the old mouse, touch and sensor type games. I remembered the first time I got involved in the virtual reality game; it showed me the true meaning of being alive. The excitement and enthusiasm that Sword Art Online created when it was announced through media like it was yesterday.
I raised my upper body into a seating position. I took off the Nerve Gear and placed it in my lap. The Nerve Gear had realized the future establishment of gaming, adapting the virtual reality. It was almost unavoidable that gamers like me to be deeply absorbed and experience being within the game itself.
The Sword Art Online is stage within the Floating Castle Aincrad. Inside the Floating Castle consist of 100 diffirent floors, and every floor is different in one another. Knowing every floor means having knowledge about different kinds of world.
Unlimited abilities called Sword Skills can be performed, it let the players feel and experience the motion of fighting using their actual bodies.
Skills are also diverse from productive skills, (such as blacksmithing, sewing, herbalist and sculpting) to everyday skills (such as cooking, fishing, lock picking, and playing music), allowing the player to be fully alive inside the game. But there are also particular skills that can be used to improve one's character personality build (such as detect hidden, stealth, persuasion, mercantile, etc.)
I placed the Nerve Gear in my bed and stood up leaving my room. I climbed down the stairs and went to the kitchen searching for my elder brother "Brother, have you finish making breakfast? I'm a bit hungry" I said in a loud voice.
That's weird, where is my elder brother? I thought. I miss the shouts and yells of my elder brother in the morning, without them the house has a gloomy atmosphere. I searched the whole house, from up and down but I cannot find him. Where is he? I thought.
I went back to my room to get my phone, and I noticed that I have three missed calls and five text messages from my elder brother. I quickly ignored the missed calls and immediately checked the text messages.
My brother ordered me not to login to Sword Art Online today. Are you kidding me? I thought! As if it's my first time disregarding the orders and commands of my elder brother. Besides today is the official launch of Sword Art Online, wouldn't miss it for the world.
I turn off my phone and place it in the bedside desk; I went back to the kitchen. What's wrong with my elder brother, he didn't even wake me up this morning and didn't make my breakfast or in this context can be called branch.
I opened the refrigerator and took some ham, bread and mayonnaise. Put them together to make a ham sandwich and place it inside the toaster. While waiting I made my very own hot chocolate, after that I consumed the sandwich and hot chocolate. Yummy, very tasty.
I placed the plate and coffee mug into the sink, and went upstairs. It's now 12:17 in the afternoon; I still have 43 minutes, till the online of Sword Art.
I browsed a couple of news regarding Sword Art Online. The Beta only recruited one thousand testers and now November 6, 2022, Sunday. Sword Art Online after the preparations and updates were completed, official launch will start at exactly 1 P.M. and ten thousand people will be able to enjoy the virtual reality game.
After 43 minutes.
I turned-on the Nerve Gear and put it on my head, locked the straps under my chin. "LINK START" I said and all the noise and other senses fade away. The world around me dissolved into a flash of bright light.
