Rishi had no idea where he was. All he knew was after he got ready and packed his stuff, Loki just opened him a portal like Rick does. As soon as he jumped in, Rishi landed with a thud in the middle of a field. Around him, the place was overall very vibrant and colourful. The grasses were lush green, with the Sun beaming down. Rishi thought of where to go. He turned, and saw the portal just closing, and Loki's sound, "Go straight. Find Folkvanger."
The portal closed, and Rishi started to walk. He was confused, and his confusion didn't always do well with his temper. He was generally short tempered, and given all the Thor powers, his short temper brought storms with itself. He was trying to stay calm, since it was important. This was Freya's world, and she would be quite mad if the perfect weather that Vanaheim was famous for was compromised. And he was no Rick, who was, of course, Freya's champion.
It took him at least twenty minutes by his phone's watch to find the first ever sign of moving life. The life was a woman, all dressed up in furry coats and trousers, just like the age old Viking women. Rishi wouldn't lie, but it was kinda cold out here. Yes, he was wearing his red Adidas jacket which could be turned inside out and still be worn as a jacket, just the colour turning blue, but it wasn't all working well. Rishi looked at the woman, who seemed very dull and down, for her dress up. He walked up to her, and asked, "Hello, I am looking for Folkvanger. Can you tell me where it is?"
The woman gave him the most uninterested look possible. Her eyes were very dark, as if subdued inside the eye sockets. Rishi fully understood what was the reason behind her dullness. She was dead, just a soul. He was about to turn and leave, when the woman lifted her right finger and pointed at a direction, behind a lot of trees. Rishi thanked her, but she paid no heed. So, he walked on, past the trees, and some very weirdly colourful sleeping dragons. Rishi was extra careful about getting past the dragons, since, no one wants them to wake up while they sleep. And when finally, he got past the trees, he came across a huge field, full of dead souls. By the end of the field, there was a huge palace by the opposite side. It was amazing! The walls were white, with black pointed roofs. Maybe it snows here in Vanaheim.
Rishi walked through the stone way that lead to the palace through the field. The dead basically ignored him, and were mostly having fun. Only few seemed absolutely disgruntled and disinterested at everything. Rishi reached the main gate of the palace, and stood in front of it. In front of it stood two big lions. They looked at him with intense glare, snarled, and went inside. About a few seconds later, the gate opened. Rishi, confused at what was going on, entered.
He looked around. The room he had entered had a passage leading straightaway. The floor was fully carpeted, and the walls had different collections of art. However, the arts were very passionate ones. Rishi walked past all those awkward art pieces, and finally reached a courtyard. The Sun, just as all the time in a Vanaheim morning, was shining bright. There were two beautiful fountains, with clear blue water flowing in them. And by one of the fountains, there was a girl.
Rishi had seen Freya, of course. And this was not her. Sure, Freya was still the most beautiful female he had ever seen, without any offence to Aitri, but this girl was something else entirely. She was highly attractive, and had a certain appeal in her. In one word, she could be described as voluptuous. And yet, she was quite like an ordinary girl, with blonde hair, striking amber eyes. She seemed to be in her early twenties. She had a gold hairband around her head, with a jewel in the middle of it, which perhaps, with the blue colour, was turquoise. There was nothing wrong with her, Rishi found none of it. Even her outfit, of the brown fur jacket and black tights seemed perfect. "Well, well, well." She said, "If it isn't the broken heart. Seeking relationship advice from Freya?"
"I am looking for Skadi."
"Skadi?" The girl said, "Haven't heard that name in a while. Lady Freya might know."
"Excuse me, who are you?"
"The name is Hnoss."
"Nos?"
"Yes, with a literal dumb H."
"Read the whole of Norse mythology books cover to cover, and never read your name."
"Freya is a mysterious goddess, champion. She doesn't let her personal life get revealed, or hides them with magic."
"Can you take me to her?"
"Why should I? What do I get?" Hnoss asked. Rishi was slightly confused at what to answer, when Hnoss gave a delightful smile and said, "Kidding. Come on."
She led Rishi through a passage behind the fountain courtyard, and finally entered what looked like a palace room. Or rather, a throne room. Velvet carpet on the floor, luxury chairs around, embroidered pink curtains all hurled aside, letting the sunlight come inside, three jaguars playing around, kicking and slapping each other, and in front of Rishi, the throne. Made of pure gold, and wonderful gems, the throne surely shined brightest in the sunlight. And on the throne, with a gorgeous black dress, checking out a Chanel perfume box, perhaps figuring out how to open it, and with a little melanistic jaguar cub on her lap, was a focused goddess of love and magic.
"Hnoss, dear, can you open it? I can't seem to comprehend Midgardian packing."
"Sure, Mother." Hnoss said.
"Freya has a daughter?" Rishi couldn't control his tongue. He was so surprised that his thoughts didn't take a second to convert to words.
"Saptarishi!" Freya said with a delighted smile, "Honey, I know how you feel. It must be terrible, right?"
"Oh yeah. And I am getting her back." Rishi said, "And that is why I need to find Skadi."
"Skadi?" Freya asked, absent mindedly, "What is that woman gotta do with your love life? She has no feelings altogether."
"Long story." Rishi said, while Hnoss tore apart the box of Chanel, and took out the perfume bottle. "Sit down, honey." Freya said, still a little absent minded, "Let's discuss what happened."
