Unlike every other time, Thor did not come to see them and take update. He did everytime, but given Idunn's return, and perhaps everyone's health getting better in Asgard, and Vanaheim, and all the worlds that the gods reside in, perhaps he had got his update. Still, it would have been nice if he had come.
Aitri, however, didn't care. She had received enough gifts for her success in the quest. She rediscovered her love for Rishi, got him back, created a strong understanding with Rick, saved the world by getting Thiazi to go null and void. On top of that, she had gotten to taste a golden apple, stuff she had only heard about in legends. Now, she was well and good, and would go and see her parents again.
And along with all that, Rick had mercilessly spent in the Harry Potter shop in London.
Now, it was a problem. How to get to back? When asked, Rick somehow managed the bags and did his magic to open a portal. Then, he held his hand out. As Rishi and Aitri held it, they jumped, and landed back at Svartalfheim. "Oh man, why did you bring us back here?" Rishi asked, "Like of the seven in option, why this?"
"Hang on a second, numb-nut." Rick said.
Aitri laughed, "Numb-nut!" She teased Rishi.
Rick did his magic again, managing his bags somehow. This time he opened a portal right in front of the airport in Kolkata. As they landed with bags and all, Aitri felt worried that someone must have seen them. She asked Rishi, "Hey, do you think someone saw us appear out of nowhere?"
"No." Rishi said, "They must have seen us arrive from some corner. Freya's magic makes it such that human beings see only what they want to see."
"Are you sure?"
"Thor's words, not mine. Though I think kids see us. Kids kinda want to see supernatural stuff. Why did we land on Kolkata though?"
"I still have my flight crew here, who had no idea how long it'll take, so they were told to stay until notified."
"Let me guess," Rishi said, "you notified them while we were in London?" Rick nodded, and said, "As soon as we entered the shop."
Three hours later, they were home. They went to Rick's mansion first, before anywhere else. Maggie was waiting there. Aitri didn't have a lot of friends, but she had Maggie. Those two had been friends for so long. They were kids back then, just like Rishi and Rick were when they had become friends. Maggie was quite happy when she got her Ravenclaw sweater. Rishi had bought himself a nice Ravenclaw muffler, had put it on, and just wouldn't get it off himself. Rick got himself an elder wand. Aitri had gotten a muffler too, but of Slytherin's. She had adored the Slytherin culture from the books. Even her favorite character was a Slytherin (if anyone knew the potions master).
Rick had bought Gryffindor mufflers for every staff in his house. It had been three days they had been away, and they kept saying how the mansion had lost its colour. And after he was done distributing it to all of them, he took Maggie aside to speak to her, while Rishi came to Aitri. "Hey, you doing okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm just overwhelmed." Aitri pointed at Rick, "He just spreads his wings and covers everyone around him, right?"
"Yeah." Rishi said, "Many people get all tough and distant when they lose their family. He just became the opposite. The grief of not having a family was so big that he created another. All I did was tell him that we are family. Look at him now. He brought everyone mufflers."
"Rishi," Aitri said, "never let him go. He's a gift from the gods."
"He is." Rishi said, "So, first quest, first success. How do you feel?"
"I don't know. Relieved, I guess?"
"Did you call your parents?"
"Yes, as soon as I sat on the plane. You saw."
