York was a wonderful city. "Thanks, Rick." Aitri said, "I got to see England thanks to you."
"I am not thrilled at all, so don't thank me." Rick said, while he looked through his magic book.
"What is wrong?"
"These are our colonizers, Aitri. How could you forget?"
"So, you hate the Brits?"
"I tolerate them, for the sake of my business. And to generalize, I hate their guts. Though, there are some Brits that I really like. Like the ones that work in my office in Manchester."
"You have office in Manchester?"
"It is fairly new. We always had clients from the UK, and that is why, I thought opening an office there would be nice. Didn't want it to be London. Too mainstream. Manchester is the second best option."
"Wow! Where else do you have offices?"
"Let me see. Ten in India, and four abroad: Buenos Aires, Manchester, Seoul and Singapore."
"Any future plans?"
"Norway or Iceland, or Sweden, maybe. Gotta be keeping close to the supernatural." Rick laughed, "Dream project has to be the USA. We shall see."
"You can do it, I guess. Sarkar Enterprises is the best construction company in India, right?"
"Yes." Rick said, proudly, "All thanks to Baba and Kakai. Anyway, we are getting off track. Lemme see if we can find a trail of Viking energy here."
Rick said something in Old Norse, surprising Aitri. "You can speak it?" She asked. He didn't answer. He went on speaking, as if speaking a spell. Then a rune that looked a lot like F:
The rune shined bright orange in the air. Rick enclosed it with his hand, and closed his fist. Then, he slowly opened his fist, and blew on his palm. Suddenly, the way in front of them changed. While the red bricked buildings, the big tall buildings, the castle looking building were same, just the road up front had changed its appearance. The way was full of bright orange little runes, the same as the one Rick had just cast. They were so bright, it would have been visible from even far away. Rick had been surely getting better at the magic he could perform.
"I don't speak Old Norse. I only speak the spell." Rick said, with a smile that signified him pulling his own leg, "Ever since Norway, Freya changed my book. From a page full of simple spells and runic magic, to a proper book of sorcery."
"That is great. So, now what?" Aitri asked.
"Now, we follow the Fehu rune's trail. Let us go. It will take us to the wealth that has Norse connections."
"Are you sure?"
"Ninety nine percent." And the two started to walk.
They followed the trail, through the buildings, around the city. Rishi would have been very excited to see this place. They walked for about half an hour, and finally, came across a house. The house was wooden, and had a big iron gate. And this was where, the trail ended. "This must be it."
