"chapter 16" - talking

chapter 16 - parseltongue

3rd pov.

"Erm, we might go to Hogesmead by ourselves, I'm sorry for losing my cool." She told Tom.

Tom went to say something but the Canis talked again.

"You're bonded with that boy aren't you." It wasn't a question. He knew. He could feel it when the two magics joined. He had never felt such powerful black magic and it had scared him how much it resembled the man his uncle had introduced him to all those years ago.

"H-how?" She whipped around and stared at Malachi. He stood there his face paled.

"Shit... the blood?"

Tom's eyebrows furrowed.

"Everyone out!"

The rest of the house had been getting closer but left. They knew not to go against Tom's orders. Alex wasn't paying attention to the rest of the people, the little boy had stayed when Tom had grabbed him to continue explaining. The only ones in the house were Toms inner circle, Tom, Canis, Alex and Malachi.

They were bonded? Is this why she felt the need to be a protector...mother?

"Blood bond?" Asked Rosier his eyes widening

Alex looked at Malachi and they both nodded. Alex went running. She made it quite a distance before Tom sent a bounding spell and her feet. She fell hitting her head on the coffee table.

"Agh! Shit." Cursed Alex.

"Alex you idiot." Malachi sighed. He had run the other way and made it to the stairs before Tom had sent a sticking charm to his shoes.

"You dick, why would you do that?" She said rubbing her forehead. Tom lifted an elegant eyebrow at her words.

"Why would you run? He asked you a question."

She looked up at Malachi and shook her head slowly. She saw him try to pull out his wand.

"Little snake, you won't be able to lie to him." Spoke Sal's portrait. He was concerned for the girl who had managed to worm her way into his acrylic heart.

"Why not?"

"One of the boys is a werewolf, he can smell lies."

"What how did you know?" Said a boy with chocolate coloured hair.

"Painting's overhear a lot." That was all Sal said.

Tom smirked, Sal truly was a Slytherin master. He was proud to be a descendent of this man.

"You call her little snake?"

"Yes. I'm sure you know what that means, Hatchling."

Oh, so you are a parseltongue. Tom smirks as her eyes widened.

Why aren't you talking back? Snake got your tongue.

Very funny. I've never talked to another human in this language before.

Tom was feeling the same thing as her. A warmth right next to the heart.

"So it's true, you're not a mudblood?" Rosier said a smile on his face.

"No... I'm a pureblood." She whispered but it carried across the room.

"Why would a pureblood blood bond with a mudblood. Are you an idiot?"
