Chapter Three

Chapter Three - Secret Meetings

"Did you prepare our materials?" I asked Cada. She nodded. "They are waiting for you in the carriage, ma'am." She backed away slowly. "Thank you." I said as I waved her off. "Tell mother that I won't be here for the next couple of weeks, I'll be on a trip." I said and got up from my throne. I walked outside with my maids following. "You are free to use my things while I am gone. Just don't break anything. Goodbye. Oh and take good care of Augustine. It's a wonder how four year olds can cause so much trouble." I said before the doors closed.

"Where to?"

"The edge of the city. If my mother asks you left me at the ship that's sailing to the tropicals." I told him. It wasn't long after he came to a stop. I grabbed the bag of things before getting off. "Thank you." I told him before leaving to the one place I knew in the underground.

"Hey, Victoria." Vander greeted me as I walked in. "Hey!" I said running past him and downstairs. I burst into the door and jumped on Vi's bed. "Hey! Did your mom let you come over for the night?" She asked as she glanced at my backpack. I nodded and hugged her. "Yeah she did! She actually let me stay in the Lanes for a bit since I have an uncle here." I lied.

"Cool, cool, cool." She said trying to compose herself. "Your birthday is soon." She spoke. "Yeah it's in a month or so." I said as I started taking the things out of my bag. "Where did you get this?" She asked. "Stole it straight from the princess." I said.

"No way!" Mylo said jumping next to me. "Yeah way. She wont notice it gone." I said pulling out a bunch of stuff. "Take what you want. I can always get more." I told them. They look at everything and started inspecting it. "I want this one!" Powder said pointing to a stuffed animal. Vi and I looked at each other before smiling.

"Powder you take good care of him." I said as she took my old stuffed animal. It was a white rabbit. "Anyways, since you're here for some time why not stay over?" Vi asked giving me a mischievous smile. "Okay, oh that reminds me. I bought some pastries!" I said as I pulled food out from my bag. "This is called Flan and basically-"

"It's heaven." Claggor said as he took a bite. "Yep." I said popping the 'p'.

They wasted no time shoving their faces with it. I jumped back up to Vi's bed. She followed me and sat next to me. "You don't want any?" She asked. "No, I want to eat something sweeter." I said looking at her. A light blush dusted her cheeks and I pulled out a donut from my bag. "This shit is good." I said taking a bite.

I heard her mumble something. "Hm? Did you say something?" I asked getting closer to her face. "I said you probably taste better." Vi said while leaning closer. She brought her hand up to my face and wiped something off of the corner of my mouth. Her eyes captivated me as she brought the same finger up to her mouth and licked it. Her eyes never left mine.
"However do you mean? I hope your not a cannibal." My brows furrowed. She let out a light laugh before shaking her head.

"Our next job is on the other side, Piltover. Someone tipped us and we are going tomorrow." Vi said. Her eyes landed on my lips and then my eyes. "What? Do I have something else on my lips?" I ask leaning in closer. "Can I kiss you?" Her question caught me off guard.

I have known her for a long time and even then my mom doesn't know about her. No one does. I've been meeting her in secret. I came back the day after her mom died. I didn't know why but I did. It took me a while to find her because she wasn't at the last place I saw her, instead Vander took her in.

"Can I?" She asked. I looked into her eyes and felt her heartbeat deafen my ears. I nodded slightly and she pushed out lips together. Her hands grabbed my cheeks as she kissed me roughly.

"Can you guys get a room?" Mylo said from the floor. "Can you give me the room?" Vi asked and rolled her eyes as she pointed to the door. "I don't mind as long as it's for Vi's girlfriend." Powder said leaving while giggling. "We aren't dating!" I yelled as Mylo and Claggor left as well. "-yet." Vi yelled after me. She quickly turned and looked at me taken back.

I laid on the bed and she laid next to me. Her eyes locked with mine and our noses touched.

How is she different from every other girl you've ate?

I don't want to eat her. She's not food.

She looks delicious to me

I need to tell her who I am first

"Vi I need to tell you something."

"Me too."

Her heart was beating extremely fast. "No- I- Listen."

She's not going to take it well

I know but I can't keep lying to her

"Look. I'm not Victoria." Confusion set on her face. "Well I am It's just...I'm Princess Victoria." I closed my eyes waiting for something...anything. "You lied to me? For years?" She finally spoke.

"Um...yeah. I'm sorry for lying but your mom wasn't going to take me in if she knew I was royalty-"

"Get out."

"What- wait-"

"I said get out!"

Break break. You're making her heart ache.

Stop making fun of the situation

You should have not told her

"Listen, I'm sorry. Please Vi. I have no where to go." I pleaded.

"Run back to that fancy castle of yours. Don't come back." She said crying. I got up and went to the door. I looked at her one more time before I left. The memory of her heartbroken face stuck in my head.
