Chapter Eight -

"Are you willing to put this nation before your own needs? To lead us when times are dark and to be there for guidance?"

"I am willing."

"With this-" The priest paused. His body shook violently before he fell on the ground bleeding from his mouth. Victoria quickly got up and went to check him. Her two fingers searched for a pulse but found none. As the guard came over she shook her head.

Instead, she turned to where to Queens crown was stored and picked it up. "-I can commence my reign." She finished for him. Her small hands wrapped on the rim and as soon as the crown touched her head a whole wave was sent through her hair. It had turned black. She pulled out her knife and grabbed a chunk of her hair before cutting it so easily. "I am your new ruler." The once familiar kind face was gone. It was replaced by a stoic woman.

The crowd was hesitant but clapped. "Take him. He should be buried in my garden." Her voice was soft but filled with no emotion.

What you did will cause a stir

It will show whoever killed my parents that I am strong with or without killing them, plus the priest agreed to it. He was willing.

put them in line

That's what I plan on doing

"To what do I owe the pleasure." A sarcastic voiced asked. "Shut up and kneel or I'll have you killed." Victoria threatened. Ekko looked down at the smaller girl and scoffed. The silence was deafening and the tension was enough to drive someone insane. Both of their guards readied to battle.

They broke into smiles before hugging each other. "Haven't seen you in weeks." Ekko chuckled. Victoria smiled as Ekko twirled her around looking at her new look. "I had things to take care of. How are you?" Victoria asked as Ekko finished spinning her. Victoria was now dressed in black leather pants. She was also wearing a black corset with a sweetheart neckline. She has it accompanied with black combat books and a black leather jacket.

"I'm doing good. Say if I didn't know any better I would say you hate black." He told her. She rolled her eyes. "Yeah whatever. I need your help." She admitted. "We can talk after but first there's someone you need to meet." He replied. "Listen if this is another way to get me to smuggle out cheesecake out-"

"No no. Listen-"

"I know your addiction with cheesecake started when I brought you some for your birthday but-"

"Just listen-"

"It's not healthy. One day your gonna fall over like those fat fucks from Piltover and die from diabetes-"

"Can you just turn around?"

"Okay okay okay fine but you should really see a doctor about this addiction- oh."

It was a person- a girl. She was cuffed to a bar in a cell and had a bag over her head. "One of Silcos people?" She asked and pulled out her mask. Victoria had gotten closer to the cell. "I don't know but it's Vi."Her heart skipped a beat. "Vi?" She asked turning to him. "I'm going in to talk to her. Wanna come?" He asked.

Victoria nodded and placed the mask over her face.

She probably changed

Not the only one here who has. If she's a threat she will be terminated.

You think you can do that?

Victoria didn't reply to the voice in her head. Achyls was right. Victoria could never kill her not even if she tried.

She reached for the door but Ekko stopped her. "One more thing if she's different you can't melt to her words. She also came with this girl- uh Caitlyn. This is an interrogation so ask about that. If she still loves you she will answer you and not me." He told her. "Caitlyn? Does she have an accent? Is she an enforcer?" Victoria asked. Ekko nodded to both of her questions.

"Let's go." Victoria was angry at Caitlyn and Vi. If Caitlyn knew she was alive then why didn't she tell her? Victoria never told anyone about Vi but if Victoria was Caitlyn's long trusted friend and ex girlfriend why didn't she tell her? And Vi didn't come to see Victoria but she went to see her ex girlfriend.

Someone's jealous

There must be an explanation

However, you act with your heart and not your mind.

Shut up

They both walked in and Victoria sat down. Ekko stood in front of Vi.

"What's the matter? You shy? Or just ugly?" Vi spat before Ekko took his mask off. Victoria crossed her legs and held a laid back position. "You look good for a dead girl." Ekko told her. "Ekko?" Vi realized it was the once small boy who she used to train.

"What do you know about this?" He asked and twisted the bottom of a container before a gemstone appeared. Victoria had heard about Jinx taking it but didn't know Ekko got it. This grabbed Victorias attention.

"Nothing. What the hell is this all about?"

Victoria scoffed. How could Vi not know about this? This has both sides of the city in pieces.

"What were you doing with Jinx?" He asked. "Im so hurt. You found everyone else...except me?" The beginning of Victoria's voice sounded like a little girl and the last part sounded like her after she turned off the built in voice changer. Vi's eyes shifted to her and her eyebrows furrowed. "Do I know you?"

Victoria's black and red fingernails clicked on a button and her mask came off. She adjusted her hair and looked at Vi. Her eyes flashed red to give her a hint. "Victoria." Vi's heart began to pound. The familiar feeling of seeing the older girl came back. He knees went weak and her palms began to sweat.

"Good to see you too."
