Chapter Seven - Happy Death Day

The walls were concrete filled with graffiti. The building was huge, six floors with two separate towers leading to the south and north wing. The thing that made it stand out more was the giant serpent in front of the building. The jaws opened as the fangs were visible. It was curled up and ready to attack.

Two guards wearing masks—a chicken and a mouse— stood guard at the front of the snake. Most would believe they were standing there to hang out however, a woman wearing a cloak showed up. The hair was the only visible thing about her—long and blonde. Her face was covered with a black mask. It was a neutral face. "Right this way." The guard touched the concrete and pushed the door open.

The woman didn't respond and instead went in. She was surrounded by people in various couches. They all had masks but different animals. There was ten people in white masks with smiley faces. Guards. The woman walked over to a little kid who had a broken toy. He stared at it in sadness as the woman tapped his shoulder. He looked up and she had a new toy for him. He happily took it and went to show it to his mom.

This didn't go unnoticed. Everyone in the room had their eyes on their leader. No one knew how she looked like and everyone respected her wish to keep her face hidden. Her right hand came over and made a hand sign. Those with even numbers 1-10 on their wrists followed the two into a different room.

"There was in attack in Piltover." The right hand spoke. The people surrounded a table with a 3D view of the the city. The leader zoomed into a building blown to bits. She tapped mid air and out came security cameras of the place and what exactly happened. "The council wants to stop trade with us. This is a problem, we must continue trade or we will fall behind." The right hand spoke."Cass is right, the girl with the name 'Jinx' planned the attack and executed it. She works for Silco. Kill him. That is your mission." The leader finally spoke.

The five bowed their heads and left the room. "Why did you send our most elite squad?" Cass asked. "Silco is not to be messed with. Sevika and the rest will kill them without hesitation. It's better to answer that with the same energy, no?"

"You're right." Cass said looking down.

"I always am. Message my parents and tell them that...well I won't be taking the crown. I do not want to be Queen, not unless I have to." The princess said. Cass knew who she was. Cass was the daughter of Cada. She had her curly hair and freckles. The princess never did speak to her daughter because she worked for Augustine and not her so there wasn't a reason to. Cass started working for her because her mother died. Cada was sent to deliver something to Jayce in his workshop and Jinx showed up. She didn't make it.

"Yes ma'am."

She left Victoria in the room and she laid on the couch. Her eyes looked at the ceiling— where her and Vi would look up at. This used to be a building they would come to when things weren't going good. To think and to relax.

"I miss you." She mumbled as she looked at the wall. There were drawings they made. Flowers, animals and people that were important to them. Vi drew her and Victoria drew Vi. Victoria had to get hers taken down but Vi was still there. Smiling and laughing. She remember that day when Vi told her to stand still. She got frustrated because she couldn't capture the look in Victoria's eyes and she accidentally spilled paint on her while reaching for the water cup. Vi stopped and smiled and dipped her hands in paint before rubbing them on the blondes face.

Victoria was shocked so Vi took the chance and kissed her. That was their first kiss. Vi then put her handprint on the wall with red paint. Victoria did the same but in black.

Her fingers brushed against her now small handprint. Vi's hand was bigger than hers back then. Now, well, maybe it would be bigger than hers but she's gone and these 'what if' and 'maybe' questions should be gone too.

She sigh before getting sitting up.

"Draco."

That was her code name. It means snake.

"Yes?" She asked turning her head to the side. Her eyes were met with sorrow filled ones. "Your parents...they're dead." Victoria's eyes widen. She got up and grabbed my cloak. "What? Lets go."

"I'm sorry."

——-

"I'm sorry."

"How did they die?" Victoria asked. She looked over at their bodies and tears fell from her eyes. They might have been hard on her but she still loved them. She's never felt so alone in her life. Her parents and Vi are gone. She's the only Black left.

Her eyes lowered and once she looked up the tears were gone. There was no light in her eyes anymore.

Sorry for my absence. I had matters to attend

Really?

The voice in her head came back.

We are all connected to the dark realm. There was a disturbance a few days ago and I went to check it out.

The dark realm?

It's my home. You have to take the crown now.

I don't want it

Victoria did not want the throne like this. She was meant to kill her parents before as a sign of being reborn. It was tradition like her parents before her. Her parents death was an omen. To the people it will be a sign of weakness because Victoria didn't do it. She must make up for it.

"Call the priest. We are having the coronation today."
