Iron Man 2 [MCU x OC] [Book 2 of the Stephanie Stark Series]

Prologue

"It's been a while since I was up here in front of you. Maybe I'll do us all a favor and just stick to the cards." Tony Starks voice rings out. "There's been speculation that I was involved in the events that occurred on the freeway and the rooftop,"

"Sorry, Mr. Stark, do you honestly expect us to believe that that was a bodyguard in a suit that conveniently appeared, despite the fact that you solely despise bodyguards?" A female questioned.

"Yes."

"And this mysterious bodyguard was somehow equipped with an undisclosed starks high-tech powered battled.."

"It is one thing to question the official story, and another thing entirely to make a wild accusation or insinuate that I'm a superhero."

Somewhere in Moscow, this specific press conference play on a small television.

"I mean, let's face it, I'm not the heroic type. A laundry list of character defects, The truth is... I am iron man."

An older man lays on a couch watching the news. "Ivan" He's having difficulty breathing and calls out to his son.

Ivan stands at the end of the hallways leaning against a dirty wall. He turns as he hears his father start to cough. He walks over to his father on the couch and helps him take some medication.

"That should be you." His father forces out.

"Don't listen to that crap."

"I'm sorry," his father looks at him sadly. "All I can give you is my knowledge." He starts to cough as Ivan holds his head up. He caresses his father's face as a tear trickles down his face. His father is dying and he can't do anything about it.

Ivan waits with his father and as the older man's chest stops rising, Ivan takes a swig of some alcohol and watches his father in despair. He roars put in agony and starts plotting to avenge his old man.

He runs down to his cluttered workshop and pulls out some Stark industry blueprints for what looks to be a larger, older model of the arc reactor. He begins to get to work. Molding and shaping a weapon of great power. He works in a space covered in newspapers and articles on Stark and Iron man. When he's finished he turns on the power for his newest creation and laughs in success.

It's his turn for revenge.
