The Robin's Weapon

Jason

The night Jason met Lily, Bruce was off looking into a case, and Jason had turned in Early. He was having a night mare, when Lily woke him up.

She did so as gently as she could, but that did not stop what followed.

"Who are you!" She opened her mouth but was cut off my Jason screaming again. "I don't care you are, get out!"

Lily run out of the room, away from the frightened child. "Alfred!" She called, praying the butler was close by.

Alfred poped up out of no where. "What's wrong Lily?"

"I scared Jason. Please help him! I don't know what to do." She started to cry. How could she do that to Jason? She should've just went for Alfred. She knew he was from the streets. Of course he wouldn't like her, a stranger, being the first thing he sees when he wakes up.

The butler patted her shoulder in comfort. "I'll talk to master Jason. You go to bed." Lily nodded, still crying, but it was slower. The butler knocked of Jason's door, which was parallel to Lily's.

The boy opened the door, knife clutched in his hand. "Alfred, there....there was a woman in my room!" The butler calmed the hysterical boy down enough to explain.

"That was Lily, she lives here. She has no where else to go. Master Bruce does not know she is here, and it will stay that way." Jason blinked several times.

"Then why was she in my room hovering over me like a psycho?"Alfred raised one eyebrow.

"I believe, she was trying to help you with your nightmare, master Jason. She was walking you up."

"Oh... That makes sense." Alfred nodded.

"Now I must check on Lily. When I left her she was crying quite a bit."

Jason watched the butler leave, and close the door. The boy scrambled after him, and pressed his ear to the door to make sure he was gone. He didn't hear footsteps, but knocked on another door. 

He heard a door open and a female voice. "Hey Alfred, how is he? I hope I didn't scare him too bad."

"He seems fine Lily. Would you like me to ask him to come talk to you?"

"Oh no, don't do that. You can't force trust, right? I was lucky dick was so trusting from the start, but Jason won't be like that. I should've approached him when he was awake."

"Very well, is there anything else I can do for you?"

"No than-... actually yes. Could you get some ice cream drumsticks from a store?"

"Of course. "

Jason heard the door close and the butlers foot steps away. Jason looked at his hand conciding everything he had leeward that night. He barely got any sleep that night after that.

In the morning Jason wondered down to dining room. As far as he knew Bruce was going to be gone for a few more days. That was why he was surprised to see a grown up at the table other then Alfred. Lily at there in a red tank top with black pants.

She gave him a kind smile. Now he could see her clearly with out the dark and nightmares to cloud her face. He could see the kindness that was etched into her face.

When he first met Bruce he was seen pain, but Lily was just kindness. Jason no matter what his brain was saying his body was relaxing.

"Morning Jason. I hope you slept well."

Jason murmured something. Lily frowned, but said nothing she didn't know him well enough to know what was wrong. They all ate in relative silence. When they were all done, Alfred collected it all, whent to clean them, and go about his duties.
