(I do not own DC-comics, or else it would have a better name. seriously detective comics comics? What is wrong with the branding.
I also do not own Fablehaven, plz read the original book series.
On to the story!)
"Seth Michael Sorensen, you get off of that Motorcycle!" The ten year old girl whisper yelled at her brother.
Said nine year old just rolled his eyes. "Come on Kendra we need a ride, and this is the only one we got near us."
"That's because this is where the locals call 'crime alley'. No one is foolish enough to leave their transportation here."
"Except the idiot who left their bike here, its begging to be stolen sis."
Jason watched from the shadows, a small sense of nostalgia filling him, as he watched the two siblings, but he also felt something else. He knew this is what B must have felt like finding him with the Batmobile's hub caps. These two were amazing, he could see that.
The boy was like him, that much was obvious, and the girl was like that girl knew once in school. He never liked her much, she liked getting him in trouble to much. But this Kendra was already shouldering her brother over with a, 'you'll just damage it' whispered at him.
It was interesting to watch, the poler opposite kinds of people working together. If it wasn't for the fact they looked alike, he would've thought they were just really close friends.
The boy nudged his sister, pointing at where Jason was, whispering something he could not hear. Jason raised a surprised eye brow, this boy knew he was there.
"Come out now!" Seth yelled.
"Seth!" Kendra yelped. "Stop let's just get out of here."
"No this guy's been watching us!"
Jason chose this moment to step out at that moment. The siblings jaws dropped.
"Your..your Red hood!" The girl squeaked.
"Wow!" The boy was obviously amazed, while the girl was terrified.
"You were trying to steal my motorcycle, if I didn't watch that wouldn't be responsible now would it?"
Yo-your-your motorcycle?" Kendra must be scared out of her wits. She was smart. The boy on the other hand looked irritated.
"So what?" He said obstinately.
Jason decided that what he said next was because of the nostalgia, "you do know this is my motorcycle, right?" He echoed Bruce's words from so many years ago.
Seth scoffed, "ya know this is, what did you call this place sis?" He looked to the girl.
"Crime alley" she murmured.
"Ya do know that this is crime alley right?" Seth looked at Jason with same expression that he had had that night when he met Bruce.
He couldn't help himself, Jason laughed. A full belly laugh. The two looked unsure. The hood turned the laugh into a gargle of sounds, they weren't sure how to interpret.
Finally he stopped, and looked at the two children. "Have you two had something to eat yet?" They blinked, the shook their heads. "Somewhere to sleep the night?" Again a shake. "Well come on."
He got on his bike, and helped the two onto the bike. Seth got on immediately, but Kendra waited a few seconds thinking then got on.
Jason drove them to his safe house. The two looked around, amazed. Jason took off his helmet, and scratched his hair. Kendra was the first one who noticed, but like most just assumed he dyed the strand of white. Seth though knew different, it felt like the nail from the remnant, but to a far less extent. Like a scar of what ever happened was there.
