Tim walked along side Alfred down the hall. Tim took everything in, halls where dark, and felt sad. He could understand why Bruce went crazy with his grief. The manner wasn't helping, it screamed of sadness.
"This is your room." Alfred told him. Tim nodded. Alfred pointed to two different rooms. The first door was the one after the first room next to his, the second was across from the next room over. "That one is Master Dick's, and that...was master Jason's." Tim nodded.
"You may explore if you wish, I'm afraid I must leave you for now. I have duties I must attend to."
Tim walked into his new room, and already he loved it. On one wall was full of, at a glance, college textbooks. On the opposite side was a perfect place for his photography. Then there was one that was a chalkboard. Everything else was simple, but practical. It was way better than his old room.
But he had no idea how Alfred had known he would like all of these things. It was suspicious, and he didn't like it. For now he would enjoy it, but he would ask Alfred how his room was made.
Tim unpacked his luggage. Putting away his clothes, and putting up his pictures. While doing this, his thoughts kept going to the room next to his.
Alfred did say anything about it. But it was sandwiched between his, Dick's, and Jason's rooms. It could be empty, or it could be a storage room, or it could be the club house for all the Robin's!
Tim rubbed his eyes, his thoughts were getting to whacky, he needed to sleep soon.
"Sleep is for the weak." He joked out loud.
He looked towards the door. He really shouldn't, but Alfred did say he could explore. In a few steps he crossed his room into the hall and was at the door.
He tried the handle, it wasn't locked. He opened it slowly, as if something was going to jump him from inside the room. He looked inside.
The room was painted in blues and purples. There was a wall full of books, much like his, but they were all fictional from what he could tell. A large bed was in the middle with a nightstand with a picture on it. But the the thing that cought his eye was the chair next to the bookshelf, and there was a woman in it.
She was staring, unblinking, at the photo on the nightstand. She didn't even twitch when he opened to door. Nothing, not even eye movement. He walked over to her, still no reaction, and shook her slightly. Nothing.
"Ma'am?" He asked. Nothing. He would've thought she was dead if not for him being able to see her breathing. He looked at the picture, and frowned.
It had the woman, Dick Grayson and Jason Todd in what seemed to be a ice cream shop. Both boys were on either side of her, and all were smiling.
He looked at her again, "ma'am? What's your relationship with Dick and Jason?", he tried again.
"She won't react, Master Tim." Alfred walked in, a tray of food in his hands. The butler sat down on the foot rest next her, and started to hand feed her.
"Who is she?" He finally asked.
The butler sighed. "She is miss Lily Ditka, and she has been living here for a long time."
Tim sat on the bed, watching the old Butler feed the comatose woman. "Bruce didn't mention her."
"That's because he doesn't know. She came here through a missunderstanding, and then she didn't know how to explain. She was worried how master Bruce would react."
Tim nodded, it made sense, he wanted to know what was the misunderstanding, but he needed the answer to his first question.
"What was her relationship with Dick and Jason?" He asked tentatively.
