Kor'i

It had been a few months since Seth and Kendra was welcomed into the family. Each were finding places for them to help in the nocturnal family business.

Seth was training under Jason, they hadn't come up with a name yet, but it was a work in progress. Kendra was sharing her training time: half with Dick and Damian, and half with Alfred. With Dick and Damian it was combat and field skills. With Alfred she learned to be the bat's teams field Medic, and she was already developing her own personal style of fighting.

The had started school again. The teachers had cried when they saw they had another 'Todd' in their class after Jason, but they were liked well enough. They, Jon, and Damian had quickly grown in fame, just for the fact that the first three people of the group was the only ones Damian was nice too.

The Joker had been brought back, but he kept his head down. Their was even rummers that he had been killed by his own mother, sense everything one was brought up he would flinch violently." Lily and Jason laughed at that rummer when they heard it.

Now life was good, and relatively peaceful for Gotham. So of course Lily started pressing on something she wanted from dick: to meet his new girl friend.

"Come on Birdy please!"

"Mom, we've been going out of maybe five months. Give us some more time." Dick rubbed his forehead.

Lily put her hand on her hips. "Excuse me? Richard Grayson-Wayne, are you ashamed of me?"

"What?"he looked at her wide eyed. Lily threw her hand up into the air.

"Well what am I supposed to think? You won't even let me say hi to the girl!"

"Ma, Kor'i isn't just girl. I'd have to explain why it's so important-"but before he could finish Lily interrupted, and glem in her eye.

"Kori. As in Kor'i! As in Star Fire!" Dick watched slightly worried as his mom exploded from excitement. "I have to meet her, please! Birdy, please! This would make my year!"

Dick blinked, he didn't know his mom was a Star Fire fan. He sighed, he had a feeling this was going to be a drag. "Yes mom, I'll bring her next week."

"Friday, she can stay the night and can leave in the morning if she wants."

Dick sighed again, sometimes there was no negotiating with his mom. "Yes mom."

Lily side eyed him and gave in. "If you don't want to bring her over, it's fine Birdy."

"It's not that, it's just that. You told me that Babs wouldn't work, and it didn't. And I'm just worried the same will happen here. I know that sounds rediculess, but I can't help it."

Lily reached over the table, and held Dick's hand. "If it makes you feel better, I promise Star Fire is different."

Dick nodded, "okay, I'll bring her around next Friday." Lily gave her son a hug.

This was how the hole family, minis tim who just crashed, was waiting for star fire. The there setting up a picnic up with blankets and plates. It was a warm day.

Lily had asked Alfred if it was possible to have a barbecue. Which was made more difficult because Damian's dietary choices, but Alfred seemed to think it was possible. Alfred was able to cook a vegetarian burger, and Lily ate her words with a apology for ever doubting Alfred.

Kendra and Seth set out the pudding, and mustard bottles on a low table. Allot of mustered. They weren't sure why their grandma insisted on ten mustard bottles for just start date alone, but they would see why.

Jason was saying out the blanket the grass. With allot of pillows. He knew his ma wanted Dick's girlfriend to feel welcome. He smiled, she had done the same with Seth and Kendra. Damian, Tim, him, and Dick. Accepted them, lived them, and tried to make them to feel at home.
