Vincent watched as his mother nodded at the girl. He look at the apron she was wearing, his eyes took in how long it was on her. Turning away he decided against saying hello to his mother just yet.

Lavender had finished helping with dinner and Rosa was taking her somewhere down the hall. Where are we going? Lavender thought quickly.

"Now, my son may get upset at me for showing you this, but I can't help it!" Rosa said laughing and she pushed open his office door.

A small brown kitten purred at the new presence in the room. Finding its way between Lavender's feet.

"She likes you!" Vincent's mom exclaimed before quickly running off to check on dinner.

Lavender was in a state of awe. The kitten was so tiny and fragile. She bent down to the floor, sitting on her knees.

The brown kitty meowed and rubbed against her again.

She wanted to hold the baby, but she was scared she would hurt her. The brown ball of fluff plopped to the floor and rolled over showing her belly.

Lavender slowly reached her small hand in front of her, holding it in the air, above the kitten.

"Hii l-little kitty." She whispered softly to the kitten.

Lavender lowered her fingers to play with the kitten. Brown paws scratched her a little bit while looping around her finger. She understood the kitten was just playing around.

Lavender stood up and pulled her dress down some, she had yet to take her shoes off. She slipped them off lazily leaving them on the floor.

She would get them later.

Her frilly white doll socks wrapped her tiny feet. Sliding a bit on the wooden floor, Lavender watched as the cat continued to chased her around the office.

A copious amount of giggles were heard, through the air and when the kitty had slowed down, Fluffs, the decided name, rested on her lap.

"Fluffs, you are so cute. I would cry if you liked me as much as I like you. I think your collar is so pretty, with the little bell!" Lavender babbled to Fluffs.

Lavender realized she should probably head back. She laid the sleepy baby on her kitty bed in the corner of the room. Quickly she scrambled out of the office. She didn't want to miss the dinner!

A very nervous Lavender made her way to the kitchen, she didn't expect to see a tall figure pouring a glass of smooth red wine.

Lavender's body stood frozen as Vincent rose his gaze upon her.

Vincent was surprised seeing Lavender. He had finally gotten a good look at what she had on. A pretty little dress and if it was one thing he would describe as, innocently tempting. His eyes wondered to her small, sock covered feet. The lace outlining of them was a bit childish, but Vincent found it endearing.

"Where's-" Her timid voice was cut off by screaming in the other room. Vincent rolled his eyes at the obnoxiously loud party happening in his home.

"Come on, Victoria is in the room also." Vincent told Lavender.

Lavender gulped, but didn't move for a second. Why was she getting anxious sitting with them, she had already meet everyone.

"Okie dokie." She slapped her hand over her mouth.

Why did she just say that?
