Lavender could barely breathe as she scrambled out of her warm bed.
"I'm on my way to pick you up right now Lav." Victoria said quickly as she hung up. Lavender had a million questions, her heart breaking at the thought of all them.
Rosa, not Rosa. She wiped her cheeks aggressively as she found her slippers. Lavender grabbed the comfort item and she hugged the fluffy white bunny close.
Vincent.
A sob escaped her mouth as she locked her apartment door. The cold air nipped at her skin, positively freezing her tears. Lavender's poor fingers were blue. Shaking from the temperature and the sobs that continued to fall from her chapped lips.
Her panic was rising by the second, Lavender tried to breathe. Gripping the soft bunny to her chest she needed something to hold on to and hoped that nothing was wrong with Vincent and Rosa.
Lavender had realized how much she needed them in that moment.
Soon her and Victoria were making their way to the hospital. Victoria was trying to calm Lavender down.
It was not working.
"Please stop crying. I know, they'll be fine. It's okay." Victoria was partly trying to convince herself. Vincent had called her, he wasn't hurt. He didn't tell Victoria if Rosa was.
"I'm sorry-" Lavender hiccuped as she wiped her tears faster. The embarrassment of Victoria seeing her like this was overwhelming. She had many other issues to deal with.
"I'm trying-" She hiccuped and choked on her tears again.
Victoria was just trying to get to the hospital. Lavender's state had scared her, she didn't understand why Lav was hyperventilating. Yes, Victoria was upset. Though this kind of reaction was frightening. Victoria felt bad, Vincent had told her not to tell Lavender. Perhaps he knew she would react in such a way.
Lavender couldn't help it though, her nose was running and her lips were trembling as they pulled up to the hospital.
Lavender stumbled out of the car quickly, with that silly little bunny in her arms, in her pretty pink pajamas. Her slipper clad feet moved in a fast motion towards the entrance door. Victoria was right behind her.
Lavender tried to open the door but it was a pull and she was pushing. Pushing hard in a state of panic.
Victoria was beside her opening the door in seconds. It had only made Lavender sob harder in frustration. Once they had entered the building, it was seemingly as cold as the parking garage was.
Lavender hadn't spoken a word, she felt like she was going to be sick. Her head was spinning, Lavender's heart felt like someone had ripped it out of her aching chest.
Though when her and Victoria had rounded the corner, the receptionist had told them, Lavender let out another cry.
A relief cry.
Vincent was okay.
A breath escaped her tighten chest.
"Victoria. I specifically told you not to call Lavender." Vincent had said his voice sending a shock wave of emotions to Lavender.
Another heart wrenching sob escaped her. Lavender thought she would never hear him talk again. Her heart couldn't handle it.
"Rosa is up, she's in there." Vincent continued, his gaze settled on Lavender. Victoria left them. They were alone now.
Lavender tried to breathe correctly, it wasn't working. Vincent took in the pajamas she had on, there was no way she wasn't freezing.
"Oh, baby. Come here. It's okay, I'm okay, you are okay." Vincent said as Lavender's small feet ate the distance between them quickly.
