RYAN LET OUT A HUFF AS she stared up at her ceiling, boredom overtaking her. It always baffled her how a place as big as wayne manor could be so quiet and monotonous. She laid with her head off of the bed, her dark hair pooling all around her.
There was a groan released as she slid off her bed, almost as if she was slowly melting. It wasn't long till she was on her feet and headed towards her next location.
Jason's room was only two doors down from her's, so it was only mere moments till she was knocking on the familiar door. " I'm coming in Jason, so hide your porn stash. " She teased as she flung open his door, only to find the other fast asleep.
He was laying on his stomach, arms tucked under his pillow, with a small pout on his face. He looked so peaceful, like his brain had finally found peace.
Did that mean Ryan was going to leave him alone?
Absolutely not.
" Jason, Jason. Wake up. " She stared down at him, a sigh escaping her lips. He wasn't budging.
Ryan paused for a moment, before an amazing idea popped into her head. She reached over and gave him a gentle slap on the back of the neck. Immediately the boy shot up, relief feeling his eyes when he realized it was just Ryan.
" What the fuck, Ryan? Why did you do that? " He snapped, rubbing the back of his neck.
" You were asleep, and I'm really bored. So, I woke you up. " She explained a sweet smile on her face.
" You woke me up just because you are bored? "
" Yes. "
" You are a menace to society. " Jason teased as he shook his head at the girl.
Ryan let out a chuckle, giving shrug. " Yeah, yeah. I know. " She spoke, brushing off his words. " How about you come spar with me? "
" Are you insane? I'm never sparring with you again." Jason scoffed.
" What? Why? "
" Because you popped my shoulder out it's socket the last time. "
" Oh come on, Jason, don't be such a pussy. It was an accident! And I put it back in place. "
" It still fucking hurt! "
" But I am bored, I wanna do something. " Ryan whined. " I'm not leaving till I an sufficiently entertained. " She spoke, crossing her arms over chest.
" Oh come on, it's two in the morning and i'm tired. "
" That doesn't sound like my problem and it's not like you can force me to leave. " She spoke, a look of triumph on her face.
Jason rolled his eyes at the girl, knowing that she was right. Even if Jason tried to fight her, she could hold him back with two fingers.
" Okay fine, what do you want to do? Besides sparring. "
" Let's go to the roof. You could steal some of Bruce's liquor again. " A smile grew on Jason's face at her offer.
" I'm always down to drink. Even if I have to do it alone. "
THE TWO NOW LAID ON THE ROOF, staring up at the sky above. Jason looked over at the girl, the alcohol he had consumed clouding his brain. He stared at her, the butterflies in his stomach multiplying at every passing moment.
" What are you looking at? " Ryan questioned, turning over to now face the other. She was smiling over at him, and looking at him in a way that made his heart do backflips.
It was all too much for Jason.
He released a scoff, quickly looking away from her.
" You. I'm imagining how much more sleep I could get if you weren't around." He answered, quickly.
The two let out a laugh before silence fell upon them. Jason slowly looked back over at Ryan, who had rolled back onto her back and was staring up at the sky.
" Your not sleeping again, are you?" He asked, the concern clear in his voice.
Ryan shrugs at his question. " What makes you ask that?"
" The fact that you woke me up at two in the morning. " Jason quickly retorted.
" Touché. " She responded, simply. Jason just stared back at her, waiting for her to elaborate further. " I just. I don't know I feel like something really bad or big is coming. "
" What do you mean? "
" I don't know exactly but I do know our lives are gonna change somehow in someway. "
