RYAN GAVE A WEAK HELLO AND quick hug to Korey. She did miss Korey but her nerves were still through the roof and all she could focus on was Jason.

" Hey. What's going on here? " Korey asked, worried eyes scanning Ryan's face.

Ryan could feel her eyes welling up in tears as Korey continued to look at her.

This was the first moment where her anger turned into true fear and sadness for her best friend.

She could not survive if Jason died.

" I-it's Jason. " Ryan muttered.

Korey grabbed Ryan's hand and pulled her towards a separate part of the home, confused and concerned. Rachel hadn't said anything about Jason.

" What happened to Jason? " She asked, once the two were alone.

Through more tears and sniffles, Ryan explained what happened. How Gar and Jason went off by themselves which caused Jason to be kidnapped.

" Oh, honey. I'm so sorry. " Korey said. " But you do know that Dick and everyone will find him, right? "

" But what if it's too late? " Ryan retorted. " Jason is my best friend. I don't think I will be able to handle it if I lose him. "

" Hey. We don't know anything yet. We can't jump to conclusions. " Korey explained. " What did Gar say? Was he able to give any information? "

Ryan shrugged at her question. " I don't know. We-uh-we kind of got into a fight, so i'm not sure what he knows. "

" What did you guys fight about? "

" I'm not even sure what happened. I-I just got so mad at him. I am still mad at him, I think. I just don't understand why he thought going off with Jason was a good idea? Why didn't he think to tell me? Why didn't Jason say anything? "

Korey released a sigh. " Maybe Gar didn't want to worry you. " She shrugged. " And maybe Jason wanted to prove something. "

Ryan scoffed. " Prove what? "

" That he was strong enough to do something without your help. Or Dick's or batman's. " She explained. " It can't be easy constantly feeling like a weak link. "

" But I never said that he was or even treated him that way. "

" Ryan, you can lift semi truck over your head, Gar can shape shift, and Rachel has magic. Jason has none of those things. He's just human. "

Ryan let out a sigh at her words.

" It may sound ridiculous but it's true. " Korey added.
