Hakuji Soyama x Reader|| Don't Overthink

Everyone in Martial Arts were separated by gender. There would be times the classes would come together to learn scenarios but a majority of the time, you all spent your time being in separate classes. To be honest, you were one of the weakest due to you dodging attacks than making moves. Your panic moments give you an advantage because your form improves but other times, no. So you're in the front line to being one of the strongest girls.

There was the top male and female and you all grew up together. There was competitions and since you were to be participating this year, they were blunt.

"Screw this up and you're out." Your sensei said and you were hit with so much pressure. There you all were, sitting on the bench. You were nervous and the rest were tryna being up your mood. It was nice of them and it helped. Hakuji was top of the class as a male and there was your top girl. Everyone loved Hakuji. He was strong, talented, and he was a hard worker. Though he was marked as a criminal and judged greatly, sensei gave him a chance.

The fight began between them, the other team was also skilled. You all were amazed at how far they got, it was now just a fight for who would run out of stamina. It felt so long, your eyes could barely keep up with him. The moment you rubbed your eyes, Hakuji managed to flip the dude. It seemed to have knocked the wind out of him too. It was definitely unexpected. No one could've seen how but our class cheered. It seemed that Hakuji one for our class.

The boys gave him praise as well as the girls. When coming by you, you gave him a compliment.

"That was so cool, Hakuji-San! You're so amazing!" You said. He looked down at you, the expression seemed so honest that he was stunned. It made him blush.

"You think so?" He scratched the back of his head. You closed your eyes and smiled still.

"Yeah!  I couldn't keep my eyes on you, but only because you both were so fast!" You admitted. It left him flustered but you didn't notice. He turned away before you would look at him again.

"Yeah, you'll be able to do the same if you keep working hard." He advised to you. You were happy that he would say so. Usually the girls were more cruel about it but Hakuji was nice. It's probably from him being judged so harshly. Relatable, yet you weren't as deep as him. You did wonder why he got those tattoos but you looked beyond such.

The top of your class for girls grew with envy. Honestly with how she went against the opposing team it showed. She shredded the poor girl, but to the point where the power got to her head. It made you uncomfortable cause of how she looked at you. She really switched up. Unfortunately, it costed us due to her greatly injuring the girl and we'd be 1 to 1 against the other team. Sensei was disappointed. It was at the point where you were next now and all of it was on your shoulders even more! If she wouldn't have got emotionally mislead, dammit. Before you stepped forward, Hakuji placed a hand on your shoulder. You looked at him as you two were about to cross paths.

"Don't overthink this. This should be fairly easy for you. Have more faith in what you're capable of." He sat down and you pressed forward.  You were against a rather shorter girl, she looked young. Just short. She looked really serious while you looked frantic. You both bowed before each other and in the moment, you were focused but then turned to look at everyone. Hakuji spoke up.

"You got this, (y/n)!" The rest of the class began to cheer. The audience was aware of which fights were. Being set as good but not great. The crowd started to become more vocal with this one. It made you almost cry for those who believe in you. INNTHE middle of though, the moment they encouraged the two of you to start. You were flipped. 

"Eh?" You thought. You saw the ceiling move a little closer but realized gravity. In the moment, you caught yourself before hitting the floor. Lightly landing as if you were only floating. Sensei was amazed, as well as your team. This wasn't expected from you. You thought about Hakuji's word.  To then end up being flipped again during your thought. It was throwing you off.
