Chapter 8

Juliette's POV:

RIng Ring

'Finally' I thought as the lunch bell went off after my last period of the day. I lazily closed my notebook and grabbed my pencil case as I put everything back into my tote bag I decided to use today.

I finally stuffed the last of my stuff and stood up to head over to the cafeteria.

Buzz Buzz

Luke: Hey u have any plans for lunch?

Me: No I was gonna head to the cafeteria for something y?

Luke: the other guys including ur brother are planning to go to a diner nearby. wanna come?

Me: ya meet at the parking lot in 5 min?

Luke: ya that works :)

I giggled and headed my way to the parking lot. I enjoyed the scenario of the long hallway wide windows and just got memorized as the wind blew the autumn leaves.

I sighed and looked at my phone expecting a text or at least a call from Lucas.

I made it to my parking lot and saw my brother already there leaning over Luke's car talking together about something.

I smiled and walked over

"Hey guys," I said

Luke was the first one to turn to me and smiled "Hey" and hugged me

I giggled and hugged him back. I pulled back and messed with Nichola's hair "Hey little bro"

He grumbled "Your the younger twin dumbass"

I faked gasped "I don't believe that" 

As Nicholas and I bickered, I didn't notice how Luke's arm was kept around my waist the entire time and I don't think he minded at all.

"Heyyy sorry to keep you guys waiting. The coach wanted to talk about something real quick for tonight's game" Sean and Jake approached us.

"It's all good you guys. Ready?" Nicholas said

We all nodded and packed into Luke's car. I got shotgun after fighting with the other guys for it and left a mopping a Sean crammed in between Jake and Nicholas.

"Fuck you, man. Stop touching my ass" I heard Sean exclaimed

"Bruh you must be high my hand is no way in hell touching your damn ass" Jaked exclaimed back and saw them doing little air slaps with each other hands together.

I giggled and looked over at Luke driving. He looked very concentrated on something and I reached over and laid my left hand on his right that was resting on the console.

I waited for him to look over at me and he smiled back "Are you okay?"

"Ya, I'm fine. I just got this thing at home going on and it's just been bugging my mind lately" he responded and held my hand in his.

"Well if you need someone to talk to, I am here you know," I said

We reached Randy's Diner in no time and I felt nostalgic. We got out and entered and I am not surprised to see the place still the same as ever. 

"Hey yall. Table for 5?" the nice middle-aged lady said as she was grabbing the menus

"Yes please," Luke said politely and still holding my hand. He pulled me and the rest of the guys followed suit.

I sat in one side of the booth with Lucas while Jake, Sean, and Nicholas sat on the other side.

"Its been so long since I've eaten here" I said and looked excitedly over the menu.
