I smiled and when I was about to go out my door, I heard the intercom say "dinner is ready". So I made my way down to the dinning room

When I went down the stairs, I saw my parents both already seated at the table. So I sat down at the end of the table right across my dad.
"Hey dad, mom" I said
My mom and dad looked up from their phones and my mom said "Ah.. welcome home sweety"
Then she got up and hugged me along with my dad
"How were the schools?" asked my dad
"It was fine. Made alot of friends and experienced alot of culture" I responded
I was about to tell them about my friends; when my phone buzzed
"I'm sorry. " I said and took out my phone
I saw the person who texted me was Lucas
Lucas: Hey love, I miss you. School is such a bore now
I smiled and texted back
Me: Awww it can't be that bad. I miss you too
Lucas: No worries love, I got something up my sleeves. Just you wait
Me: Mk, but it better be worth it
Lucas: It is trust me
I looked up from my phone and saw that everyone was already at the table. I blushed from embarrassment abit
"Who were you texting?" asked my Nicholas
"Oh just my friend Daniella" I lied
"Oh finally a friend who you made that was a girl" exclaimed my mother
I chuckled and said "Ya, I guess"
"Where did you meet her" my mother asked as the food began to be placed in front of us
"Umm.. met her on the cruise ship when we were heading towards France" I replied and looked down at my plate. I saw that we were having beef wellington with mash potatoes and carrots
I started to eat it with my knife and fork. Later into the dinner, everyone was just telling stories and stuff that happened while I was gone.
The night was full of laugh and craziness of stories. Later Jake, Sean, and Luke left around at 10:00 p.m.
"That was fun" I said
"Ya, we better get some sleep. Schools tomorrow" Nicholas said
I nodded and said goodnight to my mom,dad, and brother
I went to my room and fell backwards on my bed. I sighed and took out my phone and called Lucas

Lucas: Hello
Me: Hey
Lucas: I miss you
Me: I miss you too
Lucas: So how are things there?
Me: Alright I guess. Parents the same old you know
Lucas: Ya, well we better get some sleep. I got a surprise for you
Me:Really? You didn't have to. How are you going to give it to me?
Lucas: Well this gift is kind of too big to put in a box or be shipped
Me: Lucas you don't have to give me something that big
Lucas: Don't fret love, you'll love this so much that you'll never let go
Me: You must really be proud that this gift is sooo great
Lucas: It is a matter of a fact
I laughed into phone along with Lucas
By the time we hang up on each other it was 12:00 a.m. I sighed and changed into my pajama and I tried to fall asleep throughout the night.
