*a few days later*

I woke up to Jesse getting out of bed. He usually wakes me up with him.

"Where you going babe" I ask him tiredly.

"I have to run to work really quick" He says glancing at me. I frown at his answer.

"But... it's Sunday, you never work on Sundays" I say confused. He's a mechanic that runs his own business so he usually just calls on of his employees to do him favors. So this is strange for him.

"I just have to check in on some things, I've been sick for like a week and haven't been to work" He says with attitude.

"Oh okay see you later then" I say and give him a small smile. He doesn't respond he leaves not even giving me a kiss goodbye.

My thoughts get interrupted with my phone ringing. I glance down to see the familiar phone number.

"Hello" I say as I answer.
"Hey Rachel" I hear Marshall say through the phone.
"What's up" I ask a little confused to why he's calling.
"I was wondering if you wanted to come over and see Hailie and maybe catch up a little" He says.
"Catch up? We did the other day at dinner" I say to him.
"I know, I know I just miss my friend and I bet Hailie does too" He says and I can tell he's smirking.
"Marshall..." I say. I think I should stay away from him until I know Jesses comfortable with Marshall and I being friends again.
"Pleaseee, unless your afraid your little boyfriend is gonna be pissed" He says jokingly.
"I just don't want to make him uncomfortable, ya know?" I tell him.
"He's uncomfortable about his girlfriend hanging with a friend? That's crazy" He says.
"Your not just a friend" I say and quickly realized how it sounded.
"You an ex boyfriend that I'm now friends with" I say to quickly correct myself.
"Oh so I'm not just a friend, huh? Am I more than a friend?" He says teasingly.
"Stop" I say seriously.
"Where even is Jesse, doesn't sound like he's a good boyfriend for letting his girl talk to her sexy ex boyfriend on the phone" He says jokingly.
"Sexy?" I say with a giggle.
"You know I'm sexy" He says laughing.
"Nah, and he's at work, apparently he had to work on a Sunday" I say.
"He's probably with his side bitch" Marshall says bluntly.
"No he's not like that, anyway I gotta go, I'll let you know if I can come over" I say.
"Be careful with these men Rachel, and okay bye" He says.
"Bye" I say and hang up.

Is Marshall right? This is kinda weird that he's going to work right now. We've been kinda fighting so what if he found someone new? No he didn't he would never.

Jesse still wasn't back from "work" and it's been like 4-5 hours. He said he would be back really soon before he left. Am I being crazy? I need to relax, Jesses never given me a reason to distrust him in our year and a half relationship that we've been together.

It has been a little weird between us lately but I shouldn't be accusing him of anything.

"Hey" I hear Jesse say as he walks through the door.

"That wasn't a very quick visit to work" I say as I continue browsing my computer.

"Yeah me and the guys decided to go out to eat during lunch time" He says casually and sits next to me on the couch.

"Mm" I mumbled back to him. He knows something is up.

"Look I don't know what's been up with you lately but it's really getting on my nerves" He says and takes my laptop from my lap and sits it on the coffee table.

"I'm getting on YOUR nerves! You've had an attitude with me all week and then today you probably hung out with some whore" I shout getting up from the couch.

"What? What the heck are you talking about? You think I'm cheating on you?" He says seeming confused.

"Hell if I know! You've been acting like everything but my boyfriend this week!" I say getting more and more angry.

"Well at least I'm not bringing my famous ex around and flirting with them infront of you!" He now shouts with anger.

"That's what you've been angry about? And I was not flirting with him!" I say truthfully.

"Oh Marshall I'll make you dinner whenever you want daddy" He says trying to mock me.

"What the fuck? Sorry for trying to be nice to a single man with kids, who is also my friend" I say with sarcasm in my voice.

"He's your ex boyfriend! I can't be with you if your going to continue being friends with him, it's just not fair to me" He says seriously.

"Are you seriously that insecure? if that's all it takes then you can fucking leave right now" I say feeling angry. There's no way he's serious, I've never seen him so insecure and jealous. He's never been the type.

"So this is it? Your just going to ruin our relationship cause you want to be friends with your ex" He says as he gets up from the couch walking over to me.

"Your the one saying you can't be with me if I'm friends with him! We've been together for almost 2 years and I've never seen you so jealous" I say truthfully. Before he can respond I go into my bedroom and lay down to cool down.

I can't be with someone who is so insecure about things like that. Marshall came over for one dinner and Jesse suddenly acts like I slept with Marshall. Jesse and I have fought over things of course but this right here is something that could drive our relationship into the dirt. I love him with everything in me but I will not be with someone who doesn't trust me. I've had guys flirt with me constantly like even some of Jesses friends, but I've always been loyal throughout it all. I will not be treated this way.
