The Big Announcement

After Outlaw dropped me home, I went inside my moms room to lay down and think of a way to tell everyone that me and Outlaw were having a baby. *thinking to myself*

"mummy, I love you, and I hope u love ya grandchild"......nahhhh I that sounds terrible......"come here mummy, feel my stomach, tell me if you can hear the heartbeat".......nahhh, to direct.......

I got it.....I asked my big bro Gerald to call a family meeting. After he called everyone, we all came together in my grandmothers dining room and I called Outlaw and asked him to come join us. When he got there, I went outside to let him know what I was doing, he said "okay, I hope you ready", we both laughed and went inside. When we got inside, we sat down on one end of the table, and four of my brothers was sitting at one end of the table, which left my grandmother down the long center beside my aunt Sweets and my mom was standing up. Since Gerald called the meeting, everyone focused their attention on him. He looked around at everyone and said....

Gerald"what yal looking at me for, Vashti asked me to call this meeting"

I looked around the table at everyone and I glanced over at my mother and she is giving me a deadly look.

Vashti-"Sooooo, I know yal wondering why I called this meeting, its because Outlaw has something very important he wants to tell yal,gone baby, tell em"

He looked like he was in shock. He started talking.

Outlaw-"good day everyone, what Vashti is trying to say is.....gone baby, tell them what you trying to say"

I took a deep breathe and said...

Vashti-"Everyone, I'm pregnant"

I looked at Outlaw, then looked around the table, everyone looked shocked, there was complete silence for a few seconds. My aunt broke the silence when she jumped up and clapped and hugged me and shooked Outlaws hand and said "Congratulations!!" Then my brothers all said it while getting up from the table and quickly the room. My grandmother asked Outlaw and I if we were ready for this responsibilty, we both said "yes mam" and she said "okay, congrats" and got up went outside, leaving me, Oulaw, Sweets and my mom at the table.

Vashti-"so mummy, are you excited to be a grandmother"

Louise-"When did this happen, and why did you do it, having a baby is not easy, how are yal' going to take care of this child?"

Outlaw-"I'm going to make that that Vashti and the baby get everything they need, you wont have to worry about them.

Louise-"okay, but where are they going to live, because we barely have space for all of us to sleep, and Vashti sleeps on the floor, and while she's pregnant up until the baby comes, she can't sleep on that hard floor, so you know what that mean right?"

Outlaw-"yes mam"

Louise-"okay, i hope you guys ready for this big responsibilty because raising a child is no joke"

We both told her that we understand what she is saying and we both said that we were ready and we can handle it. We all left the dining room and went outside. Outlaw got in his car and asked me to come ride with him. I jumped in the front passenger side of the car, Outlaw turned on his cd player in the car and I turned it up to the max. We were listening to our favorite gaza tunes cd, the song that was playing was My life by Shawn Storm. We pulled out of the yard. He took me by his moms house. Even thou its not my first time here, I'm still a little shy around them. He honked the horn and parked the car. As he jumped out, White boy opened the front door, they walked up to one another and gave each other daps. They talked for a few minutes and then they walked over to the car. Outlaw got in the car while White boy came to the passenger side where I was sitting. I opened the door a little and he said...
