A lone figure sat in the downpour of rain, his intense gaze focused upon the school he had just barely escaped. Fushiguro took a moment to lower that gaze, however, thinking over what happened. He should have put his foot down. Itadori barely had any training let alone competence to face a special grade, even if he was Sukuna's vessel. Fushiguro didn't like leaving (L/n) either but they just needed to wait and it should have been covered.

Fushiguro's dark blue gaze widened as he noted the collapse of the special grade's domain. Itadori and (L/n) did it! Now they just needed to make it out here so they could get some he-

A chill went down the male's back. Someone was behind him. Someone powerful with an evil aura.

???: Sorry but they are not coming back.

The figure moved from behind his back to stand further to his right. Even without looking, he could guess who this was. This was Sukuna... The evil sorcerer of legend and the one Itadori was a vessel for. Itadori must have called him out to kill the special grade. but if Itadori was here and the special grade was health with... where was (L/n)?

Sukuna: Hmm, don't be frightened. I'm in a good mood. I even brought your senpai back mostly in one piece.

The figure responded by standing next to Fushiguro and tossing something forward. Despite it seeming weightless to Sukuna, Fushiguro couldn't help but grimace at the thud as your body rolled upon the wet pavement. You weren't moving and barely breathing as your body rolled to a stop before a small pool of watery blood seeped from your head and stomach. The puddle grew slowly and darkened the water more and more as Fushiguro took a step forward, only to be halted by the sorcerer.

Sukuna: Ah ah ah, he will be fine. Probably. Let's have a chat~

A cough escaped your body, bringing you back to consciousness with the pain that enveloped your body. The wounds on your back were reopened and screaming for attention while the marks your previous encounter with the special grade demanded attention too. Though the gashes on your face and chest were from a very different encounter. Sukuna's chat was anything but. You had tried desperately to run but he seemed to know what you would do before you could even think it. Your bangs were practically glued to your face, covering your already closed eyes as you tried to summon whatever strength you had left.

(Y/n): Fu...shi...guro...

Sukuna: Ho ho~ See, senpai is still alive, though I wonder for how long. If he had simply talked with me this wouldn't have happened.

Your brain diverted some of its attention to flashing you back to inside the domain, the toying way he inflicted gashes upon your flesh. Sukuna was a monster and you couldn't allow Fushiguro to fight him. You needed to get him out and bring Itadori back. But... Could you? A special grade was enough to put you on the back foot in a fight and had Itadori not arrived you might not have survived even with Sukuna tagging in. Your crippled body managed to roll onto your back, muffled sounds of combat filling your head along with a loud ring. The rain from the dreary skies above washed upon your face, removing the sanguine liquid from your eyes enough to open your eyes to the sad and muggy reality of your situation. The cold pavement under your back stung at your back as your clothes grew soaked in the downpour.

You opened your mouth to speak but couldn't find the strength to produce any sound as you pondered how weak you looked. You managed to get to grade two but what was the point? You couldn't handle solo missions, you couldn't provide an adequate training partner for your comrades... hell you couldn't even protect your underclassmen when the time called for it. Negativity flowed through you, proving to be the old thing to wash against the numb pain that filled every corner of your body. Aside from that... what of your family?
