(Y/n): What the hell...
Your voice trailed off into the expanse of pipes. Standing behind the three first years, you were the last to enter what appeared to be a... innate domain? This one was huge compared to most you had seen.
???: Where's the door?!
Your face quickly turned to face behind you, glaring over your shoulder at what was once a door but was now large pipes running in all different directions. How the hell did that happen without you noticing?
???: The door's gone?!
???: How?! We just came in through there, didn't we?!
Two of the first years began to panic while the black-haired one and the wolf he had summoned with his shadowy technique remained calm.
(Y/n): Hah...
???: Oi!
Your (E/c) gaze lifted to meet the angry orbs of the female-first year, her piercing orange gaze sizing you up silently.
???: Aren't you supposed to be the experienced one here?! How could you let the door disappear like that?!
(Y/n): Just cause I'm a second-year doesn't mean I know everything. Hell, I shouldn't even be here! I was just thrown on the case by Gojo sensei...
The three seemed to all sympathize with you with their eyes, much to your confusion. You took this chance to walk past the girl and further into the complex, looking around. You tried to detect the entrance but the curse energy in this place was immense.
(Y/n): Hey do you...
You could only deadpan softly as the orange-haired girl and the pink-haired guy began doing some strange dance asking about what they should do.
???: It's fine. The dog remembers the scent of the entrance.
And... now they were petting the dog and talking about jerky... Sheesh, it was bad enough being on a team with the second years at Kyoto, but these three don't seem to know what's going on at all! Well, maybe the black-haired one... And another thing!
(Y/n): Hey you three. What are your names?
The three of them blinked at the question for a moment before the pink-haired guy jumped up from the dog he was petting.
Itadori: I'm Yuji Itadori!
He was then followed by the other two in quick succession.
Kugisaki: Nobara Kugisaki.
Fushiguro: Megumi Fushiguro.
(Y/n): Alright thank you. They never tell me anything when I go on assignments. My name is (Y/n) (L/n).
Fushiguro's eyes seemed to light up softly with recognition, probably finally putting a face to the name of the Kyoto transfer.
(Y/n): Well... I don't know what's going on here, but it's my job to make sure you three make it out alive. So let the dog guide us out and we can get someone better suited for this.
You felt a bit warmed by the fact they went along with the plan. Maybe it was because you were a second-year or perhaps they simply trusted you in general. Still, it was much nicer to have someone who wouldn't bicker like Mai.
As your shoes clacked against the rusty metal beneath you, your mind wandered to Kyoto. How was Mai? Or Kasumi? Even Todo... Kyoto felt like a distant place from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. And you certainly never had to deal with domains or cursed wombs or whatever.
