𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 || it's been varrick all along

It's the next morning. I walked down the alleyway behind the Triple Threat Triad hideout, looking out for anyone paying attention to me.

But this is Triple Threat territory, you don't ask anybody shit unless you're part of the triple threats or you're trying to get yourself hurt.

I checked both ways before sneaking in the back way to make sure now one was watching me.

In my pocket, was a bag of water I was ready to use in case someone catches me.

The back entry was a small door on the floor that led to the basement of the hideout.

I turned my back to crouch down and open the door.

Suddenly, someone aggressively grabs my shoulder.

I quickly form a blade with the ice I had from the water. It almost hits the person's thigh before they yelled and jumped back away from me.

I look up and recognize him as Mako.

"What is wrong with you?! Why would you sneak up on me like that? I could have stabbed your leg!" I whisper-yelled.

I kept pointing the blade at him repeatedly like I was waving my finger condescendingly.

"Okay, yeah. My bad, I just forgot- Can you put that down please!?"

I glared at him but put the blade away anyway.

"Stay out here, I'm gonna get Two-Toed Ping out here." I told him.

He nodded. I opened the small door and hopped in.

The door was a direct opening into the basement.

It was a dimly lit room but clean nonetheless.

An organized pool table in the corner, a small and bar next to it, and a booth table in the other corner.

Thankfully nobody was down here.

I was about to head up the stairs but I heard someone's footsteps clamp down the stairs.

I quickly hid under the table before whoever was there could see me.

I looked at the person and watched as they made their way to the pool table.

I moved a little closer and recognized him as Ping.

He was off his guard. I took the chance and got up from the table while his back was facing me.
