~Y/N's POV~
I lied down on the bed looking up at the ceiling in deep thought.
I almost fell off when the heavy door flew open and slammed against the wall.
"Fuck-"
"Y/N! Come on, Beifong is letting you go." Mako said as he waltzed in, in his casual clothes.
"What? What happened?" I asked, sitting up.
"Varrick tried to have the President kidnapped and now he's been arrested. Since we were the ones who figured it out, she's letting you go!"
"Oh, that's great! Let's go then." I said.
He was about to walk out of the cell when I made him turn back around.
"One more thing."
"What?"
The second he turned around, I shot my fist into his stomach, making him groan in pain and fall to his knees.
"Don't ever let me take the blame for your shit, okay?" I smiled.
"Mhm." He whimpered, his head now on the concrete
I excitedly walked out of the cell and got my clothes back and everything, with Mako staggering behind and holding his stomach.
We walked out of the prison of the police department.
As we were, Mako started talking.
"I'm really sorry you got arrested because of me. I didn't think Varrick would try and throw you in jail. I would've taken the blame if I was there." He said.
"Thanks, Mako. Next time, how about you just find a legal way to solve your problems?" I joked.
We both laughed and continued to walk out.
As we walked into the lobby of the police department, a group of people were waiting for us.
They start clapping and I started to feel a little uncomfortable.
I started to back up into the hallway but Mako grabs my shoulders and pushes me forward.
