chapter 6

I couldn't find jay at all. It's like he was banished with the guards.  I was very worried about what's going on and I didn't want him to die at all. I heard a gun go off and I just started running in the direction it came from. The gunshots kept on going off and the adults and the children ran in my direction.  "Why are there gunshots going off?" I asked a young adult and she looked scared and worried and she looked very traumatized by what happened. "It's jay." The lady was so scared to say I and she ran with me to I can whats going. I'm so scared of what's going to happen.  I saw a huge crowd when I ran up the stairs and I saw jay laying on the ground with blood coming out of him and I saw the gun up to his face and I tried to go through the crowd and I was pushing the crowd so I can stop the guards so they don't kill my best friend. "NO!" I ran and I ran "NO!" the guards looked at me like I was crazy and I knew that they knew me and I'm not going to let them kill my best friend. I stood in front of jay and I looked at the guard that was going to kill my best friend and he put the gun to my head snd was about to pull the trigger.

But Jay's dad pushed me to the ground so I can help jay stay alive as long as possible. "You're not going to kill Jen and I know you her from the capital. Why do you have my son and he doesn't do anything wrong." The guard still had the gun in his hand and he took off his shield at last and took one more step to his dad. I was scared and so worried about what's going to happen. "This girl is going to to a rebellion the president knew that when she first came to the president." His dad looked at me and I nodded my head no and he looked back at him and got closer to him.  We are trying to survive in this district."  The guard looked around at what he had and looked at everyone and then looked at me and jay and his father. I had no clue what he is going to say to us at all.

"Clear this square now!" The guard yelled at everyone and some people stayed behind and helped us take. We got in up and we ran to the medical wing as soon as we can and I was scared that we are going to lose jay but I wasn't going to lose hope at all.  "Are we going to lose him?"  His father took me adise as the other took him to the medical wing. I looked at the strong people that was taking him then looked at his father for hope. "Im not giving up on him at all Jen." I looked at him with tears coming down on my face. He walked me home and my parents were worried because they heard what happened.  They looked at me with a worried face but I went to take a nice shower to clean everything off of me.  After a while i came out from my bedroom and came down and gave my bag to my mom. "Mom heres some meat i got from the woods this morning with jay." She was happy then her mood turned into sadness. I knew she was going to do this but i knew why. I laid on the couch  and was watching Tv and.  "Hey dad how was work." He came home and took his jacket off and is case in his office so it doesn't  take room by the door. "Its ok just exhausting. I saw you in the square today jen." My mom looked at me and she was concerned that i was in the square but i wasn't going to start a fight with my mom at all i was to tired to do and jay was on my mind  right now. "I know dad i was trying ti save him because i couldn't lose him."

He didn't say anything at all and i was relived that they didn't say to me but i knew i was going to get a lectured later when everything is calmed down.  Mom was in the kitchen cleaning the meat and getting everything ready for the next few days so we don't have to leave for a few days. But the reaping in less the a week. I have to be worried about right now.
