John got up and stood by my bed and he went back into his bedroom and I never expected that but its ever I guess but I sat up in my bed and grabbed my book where I hid the president keys when I left the capital the last time and I heard john coming back and I put the book back in my bag and hid it so he didn't see what was in my book. "Whats that john?" He gave me the book and pictures of his family came out of the book I looked at the pictures and his class picture came out and I saw me, jay, and john in that class picture.
"I didn't know that we were in the same class at all john." He looked at me with sadness in his eyes and I gave him a hug to make him feel better but the hug didn't help at all. "Welcome to the capital news and as you know district 12 has soldiers being in the games as you know her name is Jen." We both looked at the tv and I stood closer and looked at the Tv. This can't be happening right now. I was shocked and I didn't know and I don't know what to do at all. "This year's games are going to be tough and harder and we have never expected a retired soldier to be in the games at all. None of the capital citizens or the president expected this."
I looked at John and he had no words and I walked out of my bedroom and looked for Chloe and I found her in the lounge room and I sat down next to her and I'm very mad. I turned on the Tv and replayed what had been said and she looked very guilty and I knew something was up and I'm going to get to the bottom of it. "What the fuck is going on here?" She sat up and turned the volume down and looked at me and took the repeating card out with the female tribute name on it and she handed it to me and it was my sister. I shook my head and I was mad at her.
"Why would you call my name instead Chloe?" She didn't know what to say and stutter a couple of times. I'm assuming she doesn't know how to put it in words at all. I looked at her and ripped the card up and put in her bag and left it there and I sat back done and john came out and sat next to me. "I didn't wanna call her name I knew she was going to get scared." I looked at john and sat back and put my legs back and let her explain everything to me. I looked at John and he nodded
"So you called my name instead of my sisters name and you didn't want her to be scared and I wasn't letting go into the games at all." she looked at me and her as tears coming down on her face and I guess she feels that guilty and now she lied and she could lose her job over this and she could get killed. I walked backed to my bedroom and stayed there for the rest of the night. I had no words. I had think of what I'm going to do but I don't know what I'm going to do at all. I don't like Chloe I had a bad feeling about her. Now I'm giving my district hope and I won't stop giving them hope.
I fell asleep while watching the news. I never felt so alone during this time. I looked outside my window and it was pretty early to be up but I don't care at all. I went to gran some coffee and I saw John sitting at the table reading the newspaper and I grabbed my coffee and went back to my room and just sat there for a couple of hours to think of what I'm going to do because I know the citizens are going to be ready for me when I come out of trained and I know they are going to have lots of questions. I went to look in my bag and looked at me and jay. I saw John at my door and I waved him in to come in.
"Morning Jen." H seat down with the newspaper under his arm and some coffee in his left hand and sat in the chair right by the Tv. I smiles at him and turned down the Tv so I can talk to him and talk to him about last night. " Morning John. I'm sorry about last night I never attended to storm out like that." He looked at me put his coffee down and the newspaper and sat on my messy bed. He sat facing me. "It's ok Jen I understand where you were coming from." He looked at e with a little smile and he hugged me tightly and I really needed a hug from someone.
I looked at the window and tapped his shoulder and he turned his whole body and i got up and look outside of the window and there was the capital. It was huge but very shiny at the same time. We saw people waiting by the gate and we rushed to get ready so we can look good for the Tv pro casters and the people of the capital and we rushed where she is and we had to stand on each side of her. We arent on speaking terms at all but oh well. I could care less.
