Part 3

Your POV

The next day, you both get ready and head to the office. You go to your office and start doing some work and obviously Alex walks in.

"Hey, how are you?" He asks, you look up at him in his fire suit. You love him, still, even after leaving you and getting with someone else, you still fall in love that little bit more every time you see him.
"I'm good, I guess." You say back to him, you instantly regret saying it knowing fine well he's gonna ask what's wrong.
"You don't sound it. What's up?" He asks, as you expected. Now do you tell him what you want to tell him, or do you lie?

"(Y/N)? You there?" He asks again after you don't answer him.
"Honestly Alex? I'm not doing too great, you were an ass to me and your crew and then you ended everything we had... not to mention, found a new girl! And now I'm expected to work with you like nothing has ever happened! So far, my job as your PR has been really shit! If it wasn't for Will and his mom, you don't understand how alone I'd feel right now!" You shout, you let it all out and now your fighting tears.
He moves closer to you and puts his hand on your shoulder.

"Hey, (Y/N)... I did that to keep me from hurting you, but apparently I've only made it worse. I'm sorry, I really am. I don't want any of that to get in the way of work though. And as for the new girl, she's just a friend, that's nothing serious I promise! I'd tell you if it was..." Alex says looking into your eyes the entire time.

Just then, you are both startled by William walking through the door.
"Oh, sorry! Did I disturb something?" He says softly, you shake your head turning your attention to him stood at the door. His fire suit unzipped, hanging at his waist, hair still looking good, he obviously hadn't had his helmet on yet.
"Was wondering if I could talk to you a sec, (Y/N)?" He says smiling at you and then Alex, who nods and leaves the room giving an awkward wave.

William POV

You watch her body expression change a little when Alex leaves, like a weight had just been lifted from her shoulders.
"I got myself a girl!" You shout and watch her face drop again and she nods looking down at papers in front of her. You move around her desk and look at her and she stops what she's doing and looks up at you.
"I'm kidding... kinda got someone on my mind." You say smirking and she rolls her eyes.
"Fancy going out for a nice dinner later? I'll wear my suit?" You ask again smirking, she laughs this time.

"Is the William Byron asking me out on a date?!" She shouts at you and you shrug your shoulders.
"If that's what you wanna call it, sure! I'll take you home when we finish so you can get ready, I'll get ready at your place?"
"Wait, you brought your suit to work? You already had this planned out didn't you?" She asks and you wink at her and watch her shake her head.
"My mom just dropped it off for me... or should I say for you?" You watch her face palm and blush, you slowly back out of the room smirking and she waves you out of the room.

Later, you get to her place and start getting ready while she gets ready in her room, you start tying your tie but can't get it right and you walk out of the bathroom and see her stood waiting for you.
"Such a girl! Come on, I want to eat today!" She shouts and look her up and down biting your lip.
"Need a hand?" She asks pointing at your tie, you nod.
"It's not that I can't tie a tie. It's just, I can't tie a tie today..." she laughs at you talking nonsense.

She ties your tie and stares into your eyes when she's done and straightens it up, you bite your lip and she pulls your tie bringing you forward and she kisses your head.
"You look hot, Byron. I can't lie." She says before walking away, you stand in shock for a second, you didn't expect her to say anything and quickly catch up to her.

You go to a restaurant you booked. You chat and have something to eat and have a drink, after a couple hours you decide it's time to leave.
You open your car door for her and she gets in and you get in the drivers seat.
"I've really enjoyed tonight, Will. I needed this I think, thank you." She smiles at you before looking straight ahead.
"You know, I've really enjoyed it too. Now, do you want me to take you home?" You ask looking ahead at the road about to set off and she nods.
"You're coming too though!" She raises her voice saying this, you quickly turn to face her.
She looks at you smirking and leans over and gives you a quick kiss on the cheek again, you smile at her before setting off.
