Alex POV

You walk down the beach for a short while in silence before (Y/N) starts talking.
"How you liking the trip so far then?" She asks quietly, kicking her feet through the sand.
"Its been really nice, thank you." You say back smiling, she smiles at you in response.

You get interrupted by your phone ringing and its your mom FaceTiming you, you sit down and answer her call.

"Hey, how are you? Hows things with you and (Y/N)? Has anything changed yet?" Your mom asks quite loud, you notice in the corner of your eye (Y/N) swing her head around fast to look at you.
"Im good thanks mom. And nothings changed, we're just friends." You say back quietly widening your eyes hoping your mom gets that you want her to stop asking.
"I thought you were going to talk to her, you like her still don't you?" She asks again and you bite your lip.
"Mom! Shut up!" You shout and she pulls a face at you.

You look up at (Y/N) walking towards you and she smiles and sits beside you.
"Hi momma Bowman! How are you?" She shouts to her and you see your moms face light up.
"Oh hello (Y/N)! Im great thank you, yourself?" She asks with a huge grin, you laugh to yourself and shake your head.
"Im great, thank you. Listen, i couldn't help but overhear some of your conversation..." (Y/N) starts speaking and you cut her off.
"That was nothing! Listen, mom I'm gonna go. I'll call you later, love you, bye!" You quickly shout and hang up the call, you turn to (Y/N) and shes sat with a smirk.

"Do you wanna talk?" She asks you quietly, you look down and shake your head and feel her nudge you.
"I wanna hear what you gotta say, Alex." She says again almost whispering and puts her hand on your leg. You look at her hand and turn away standing up quickly.
"Lets walk and talk." You quickly say and start walking down the beach again, she soon runs to catch up to you.

"Im just gonna be straight... i like you, i love you actually, i miss you and my mom wont leave me alone about it cause she thinks this is the reason I'm so unhappy at the minute. Cause you're missing." You say and take a deep breath looking down.
(Y/N) stops and grabs your wrist, you turn to face her and she hugs you.
"And is that really what's bothering you? Is your mom right?" She whispers to you, not letting go.
"My moms always right." You whisper back hugging her. She soon steps back after you say this and goes awkward.

"Im sorry. Lets just head back." You say quickly shaking your head.
"No!" She shouts and pulls you back and carries on walking.
"But, this is just awkward now!" You shout back and she shakes her head,
"It doesn't have to be. Listen, things will get better for you, i promise! And I'm always going to be here! Ive missed you, spending time with you, just us. If it helps, we can do this more often?" She says back to you nudging your arm smiling.
"You still wanna hang around? Just the two of us?" You ask her with a raised eyebrow and she nods smiling back to you.

You both walk a bit further before deciding to head back before the others get up and realise you aren't there and worry.

Back at the villa, you're both greeted by Mahkaila smirking at you both. You and (Y/N) look at each other and shake your head at the same time and both laugh.
"Girl, shut up! We just went for a walk and talked to his mom on FaceTime." (Y/N) shouts and hits her arm, she rolls her eyes and walks back inside the villa, (Y/N) turns to you and smiles.

You all walk inside the same time Will and Chase come down stairs. You all go sit down at the table and chat and eat some breakfast.

"Day drinks?" (Y/N) suggests and Chase laughs standing up fist bumping her,
"I love this girl!" He shouts and you all laugh.
"Guess that settles that then!" You shout laughing to yourself.
"I've booked us all on for a night cruise as well tonight, so we can go for a boat ride and watch the nightlife i guess." (Y/N) says and smiles at you, noticing you looking at her.
"Sounds romantic as hell! Alex, looks like you got all day to find someone to tag along!" Chase shouts teasing you, you stick your fingers up at him and (Y/N) rolls her eyes at him.
