Chapter 37

{Michael's POV}

The ride home was otherwise silent except for my heavy breathing, I began to cry as soon as we got into the car. 'Why did he have to wake up with amnesia?' I thought to myself. The air smelled like clean leather seats and tears. My tears...that I caused...because I made him crash...I didn't pay attention to the music like usual, or look out the window, I just sat there. I was constantly thinking about Luke and his current situation. I gulped nervously, feeling my Adam's apple move along my throat. My eyes were brimmed with tears, and my vision was blurry. When the car stopped, I didn't even notice. "Michael, MICHAEL! Mikey!" Nya called. My head shot up, thinking it was somehow Luke, only to realize it wasn't. Since I didn't look outside for a while, I walked outside into the pouring rain. My hair stuck to my forehead and the air smelled of wet grass which brought back memories from when I was child, when I never thought I'd be in a situation like this. But here I am. We rushed into the house, everyone immediately going up to their rooms because we didn't have umbrellas. Instead of going to my room, I plopped onto the couch, hearing sobs and sniffles coming from under a shaking blanket. I pulled the blanket back and a butt-load of tissues poured out...along with 4 tissue boxes. When the avalanche of tissues was over, there was a crying, shaking Kenzee under them. "My best friend is in a coma...and now he has amnesia..." she kept whispering to herself over and over again. My heart broke in two, I hated seeing her like this, and it's my fault "Uh- Kenzee?" I whispered, my voice was deep from crying. Her eyes widened and she sat up, "O-oh...h-Hi Michael..." she stuttered. "Listen, I'm sorry...I made him crash, it's my fault..." I said. "No Michael, it's not yours, don't blame yourself, he'll be okay soon." she said through her tears, after that, she walked upstairs and turned on the shower. Even though it was still pretty early, I got really tired from crying, so I went to my room and laid on my bed, falling asleep minutes later.

* HI! THIS IS KENZEE NOT NYLA BTW...why? because NYLA was supposed to update 4 DAYS AGO!!!!!!!
